At what tire pressure does the rear TPMS give alerts for low pressure? I have at 50 and while it rides better I cannot deal with the error message every time I get into truck. Thought I was stronger than that but nope. I am caving. LOL

TIA.

I think its 20% or so...put them at 66 and see if it goes away. Unfortunately unless you can convince a dealer(seen some they have been able to do this on DRW trucks) to adjust it you might be stuck with the light.

once the light comes on, you have to take it all the way to 80 to clear the error message. Then you can deflate them back down. I think below 65 it comes on again.

I run my rear (DRW) tires @ 45 psi. No warning.
When did 3500 get TPMS instead of TPIS?
TPIS is psi info only, no warnings, unlike a 2500.

Has anyone successfully had their dealer lower the TPMS warning pressure? If so, could you share a copy of the dealer work request and response (please remove any personal details like name or VIN)? When I dropped my truck off for a rear axle hum issue, I asked about lowering the threshold and was told they likely couldn’t due to legal reasons. That may be true, but I’ve heard of others getting it done. It’s frustrating seeing the warning every time I get in the truck, especially since I’m intentionally running below the threshold but still within the tire’s safe load capacity—at that point, the TPMS becomes more of a nuisance than a useful feature.

Update for anyone looking to get this completed. Dealer said this is not possible for legal reasons. Waiting for aftermarket and/or tuners. Until then I'll be disabling the low tire pressure alert ever time I start truck. Fun. :(

It’s possible for dealer to do it for the 2025+ rams. FCA did take the ability away from their diagnostic pods for a while, but on the 2025+, the function is back.
You need to tell them to click on miscellaneous functions on the witech topography screen, then select rfh tire pressure thresholds, and in there they can adjust them.

Spoke to tech. He can do it but dealer policy is no as it’s a legal issue, allegedly. Wonder if Stellantis would approve this request could they force a dealer conduct this work? Maybe not as they are independently owned. So frustrating. Whatever.

I finally talked my dealer into it by showing them my window sticker, which says TPIS on it.
Maybe having it in writing on the window sticker will help alleviate their legal worries since the TPMS was incorrectly optioned according to their own documents. Worth a shot!

They did tell me that they can't fully disable it, but were able to set it to the minimum threshold of 32 or 35psi. I suppose the message will annoy me if I air down offroad but not seeing it daily is good enough for me.

I got told the same on my 2022 by the dealership, I'm luck someone with Alf Obd lowered it for me, the newer truck owners are SOL

I am in the same boat. Haven't tried at my local dealer yet but I will when it goes in for the trailer light recall.
I did get an email from CJC Offroad stating they can now make the adjustments in their shop. Unfortunately, I am pretty far from their shop.

From the email;
"Own a new 25+ RAM truck? We've got more upgrades for these trucks than ever, and we're also excited to say that we can finally adjust TPMS and tire size for all installs at our Long Beach, Ca shop. No more warning lights. Sadly, that is not something that can be done outside of our shop as it requires extensive equipment, but we're hoping for a better long term solution for at home calibration in the future.
If we've built your 25+ RAM truck and you haven't heard from us to recalibrate, give us a call."

When I get truck back from dealer for rear axle issue I'll try reducing to 66 or 68 without triggering threshold. Not 45-50 that I want to run but better than 80. I believe its 20% below recommended (80 - 20% = 64psi), and you must inflate to near 80 to disable the error then reduce.

I'm sure someone will break the code and dev a device for us to make these changes and more similar to the z-flash.
