Rattle Noise In Cab

Great news, just called my dealer and they're ordering the parts for me right away.
Have you had the TSB performed on your truk yet? If so did you notice a difference for better or for worse? I dropped mine off today, fingers crossed they have figured this out and it gets resolved. This is the fourth time it has been in since Feburary '20 to try and get this issue resolved.

Gulfcoast let us know I have had mine changed out back in July and it didn't help at all

Still waiting to get the call that the parts are in. I may call today to follow up.

Going to the dealer with mine today to get diagnosed . I provided the TSB. Hopefully i'll have the repair scheduled and completed soon. I will keep everyone posted.

Cummins3 mine were changed in July as well and there was no improvement, it may have even been a little worse. They were still building new production trucks with the same bad mounts at that time.

g00fy you will turn blue in the face if you wait for the dealer to call you. I called my dealer four days after the TSB was released and they said they hadn't heard anything, the advisor took down the TSB number saying he would look into it and call me back. Four days went by and I didn't hear anything so I called the parts department to confirm availability of the required parts and everything was available. The parts department transfered me to the advisor that never called me back, he said he looked over the TSB and that it said something about loosening the bolts and centering the cab on the mounts then retorquing. I asked him to pull the TSB up again and look at it closer to see where it mentioned replacing the two cushion assemblies and ten bolts. He put me on hold to check availability of the parts came back to say they were five days out and would call me when they are in. Six working days later I called the parts department to see what the status was, parts were in but I never got that call from the advisor. I had actually called two days in a row and left messages for the advisor but never heard back so I showed up yesterday to drop the truck off and he was a bit confused as to why I was there and proceeded to tell me that the parts weren't in yet. I told him the the parts people told me they were in so he called over to the parts department and they told him everything was in. The communication internally is just as bad as between the service department and the customer. It is sad but you literally have to do their jobs for them in order to get **** done, it is not that difficult.

That’s frustrating. I guess there is advantages to small town dealerships. The parts department is separated by an open wall from service where I go. :p

This dealership is in a town of about 9,000 people so it is a fairly small town and there is just a glass wall between the service and parts departments. It is just laziness or they just don't care. I don't use our local dealership because they can't even get an oil change right, everytime I would take a vehicle in for service I would have to have them pull it back around when I arrived to pick it up because something was always incomplete. The dealership out of town has always done good work, never had to take anything back but the rest of the organization needs a little work.

My parts are in, but the dealer says the mechanic is covered up. Hoping for next week.

Good call, i reached out to the dealership yesterday, and sure enough my parts were in... Don't know how long they've been in, but I probably would not have gotten a call about them if i didn't reach out first. Truck is scheduled to be dropped off on the 17th.

I just picked mine up. They followed the TSB, replaced all the required parts and called me to say that it still rattles. I drove it 30 miles home and didn't hear any rattling but time will tell. If nothing else it is better than it was because it didn't rattle on the last stretch of road that usually makes it rattle.

Give it a couple days and report back, I would like to hear the results!

My '19 2500 C/C does it from both rear mounts and you can hear and feel the body separate from the frame when slightly flexing from the A pillars too. It's done it since new July of 19. Back in Dec of 19, I dropped it off at the dealer for the 4th time and didn't get it back for just about 3 months only for them to tell me there's no fix yet. Plus they put over 800 miles on it. I wonder if they used it as a loaner vehicle. Anyway, hopefully the TSB just released will fix it. When I have it done, I'll update.

Hello everyone,

Recently there has been a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB #23-032-20) released that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that are described in this thread. To ensure this TSB applies, please schedule an appointment with your dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. Please send us a private message if you have any further questions, thank you.

I have a copy of the bulletin from my dealer, however, they performed the repair/fix on another truck and said it did not work so they are reluctant to perform the repair on mine. It has been 3 months since I bought the truck and I’m getting pretty tired of my new $70,000 tuck rattling and banging. I’m giving serious thought to seeking relief under the Texas Lemon Law!!!

I have put about 100 miles on mine since the TSB was performed, the dealer said that it didn't eliminate the noise. I finally heard it a handful of times driving today, before the TSB I was hearing it a handful of times in a 1/4 mile. Although it is not completely gone it isn't as pronounced when it does happen and it is a helluva lot better than it was to the point of almost being tolerable. I don't feel that this is where it should end, it shouldn't rattle at all but highly unlikely that you will get any traction pursuing a buyback under the lemon law. I had a 2015 that spent 40% of the time I owned the truck sitting in a service bay for a drivetrain issue. More than a year of back and forth with an attorney getting nowhere, I ended up trading the truck in just to be done with it.

Did you by any chance buy your truck from Allan Samuels in Aransas Pass?

I didn't buy mine at Allen Samuels but they are the dealership that performed the TSB.
Thanks. After the holidays I think I’ll ask them to perform the TSB fix. It may not completely cure the issue, but if it minimizes it any improvement will be helpful. The frustration is that I like everything about the truck except the annoying rattle.
Thanks for your input.

My 2014 had the same type issue, in fact I think I was one of the first that noticed the clank "early build". I spent hours underneath trying to figure out what the heck was clanking.
I really can't believe this is happening again. FCA should really take a close look at the quality control department.
