Random Trailer blind spot popping up

Very randomly (sometimes once a week or multiple a week) my trailer blind spot icon pops up on the dash and sometimes asks for trailer length. Has anyone dealt with this? Or know why it happens? I'm thinking a wiring issue maybe?

Sorry, just noticed maybe this belongs in "towing" section.

I have seen others have this issue. You may want to see if the 7 way plug has any corrosion in it - doubtful on a such a new truck. Maybe add some dielectric grease to it. If that doesn't help maybe the dealer has an update for that issue.

The 2025+ trucks have at least 6 or 8 updates for the computer etc...

I've had it happen twice, and only at the same location. I've wondered if the 7 pin was corroded or if there might have been some electrical or radio interference as there cause.

This weekend was my first "check trailer lights" fault. Only showed up on the dash for about 5 seconds. Called the dealer yesterday morning and got the typical "I'll have to check parts availability, I'll get back to you". Little do they know, I'm going to call them every day until they schedule me. I've got a trailer I want to buy, but may have to wait until they perform the recall.

I was told by my local dealer that all trucks on the lot are "priority" over trucks already on the road. He did say if yours isn't working while towing there is a work around.

Connect the trailer with the truck off - remote start the truck - the brake controller should be working.

Once you turn the truck off you would have to repeat the process.

HI everyone! If concerns as such are still present, know we would like to look into this. At any time, DM us or like this message and we can follow up from that point.
