Ram's Holding Some Late November to Early December (Possibly More) Orders Due to Quality Issue (threads merged)

When I click on that link it says "sorry, a window sticker is not available for this VIN.
It doesn't even give me the opportunity to insert my VIN #.

That is correct. But if you then enter your vin after the = sign it works. If no window sticker is available yet you will get the same message as with the empty VIN. Otherwise the window sticker itself will open. I have the VINs for two trucks. One shows me the window sticker, the other still says not available.

As Will_T said, add your VIN in the URL after the vin= as shown,

Thankfully I have no recall on my truck, however I found out the hold up at the vendor is the trailer camera wiring I ordered. There is some kind of supplier issue, they are optimistic that it will be resolved this week.
 
I got another corporate form letter today now saying my truck will be delivered 4/02 to 4/07. Last letter and the dealer said it would be here this week. Still with no answers on the delay. Anyone else have any updates?

Latest update from RamCares pushes my estimated delivery date to 3/26-3/31. The previous estimate I got from them was 3/16-3/22, which we obviously blew through. My original eta was 2/5. Order date was 12/5. 2500 6.4 Limited

Similar situation here. First delivery date 3/8-3/19.
Yesterday email from dealer tells me 4/1-4/15.

I got an update for all concerned, it seems like Ram really doesn’t care about its customers, because if it did, they would give us valid reasons for the delays we are experiencing. One can only draw the conclusion that the pandemic is an excuse for poor performance across the board, because that’s the only explanation I keep hearing. Ridiculous!

Nope, RAM customer care seems to be one of the worst. All canned responses, no one can tell you anything other than it's in whatever status and to wait. They wont send you up the ladder in customer service to speak with a manager or get you to someone who knows anything. So frustrating. Very under performing company for very high price vehicles. I was ok waiting 4 months for this truck, but now at 6 months going on 7, it's getting ridiculous. Starting to think they damaged it and it is at a body shop somewhere being repaired. I really hope that is not the case.

Got the call in the way home it arrived at the dealer.
I just spent 4 hrs inspecting it.
I’m pleased so far.
Wow! Great news! Enjoy! Hopefully mine’s on the next truck to Indy!
 
Heard from my dealer, supposedly my truck is back from TX and unloaded at the local rail yard. Unclear exact day it will get to the dealer but hopefully a light at the end of the tunnel.

Original order mid nov
Got to local railyard 1/31
Sent back to TX in early Feb
Back to local railyard March 23

I’m pleased so far.
So it appears your truck is not one of the recalled trucks if you are taking delivery. Mine was built a couple of days after yours so I am hoping the situation with the bad relays that was a cause of the recall was corrected by the time our truck were built. I am hoping to see mine in the next week or two.
 
It's very likely there are multiple suppliers for the same part and it's limited to one supplier.

Hahaha well my saga continues!

My dealer just called to tell me my truck got stolen from the rail yard.

What a **** show this has been.
 
Ask for the police report.

Supposedly he's going to the police station now to recover my truck and a power wagon that got stolen last night. No idea yet how the police got the trucks back. Great point about asking for the police report, I will definitely do that!

it depends on the condition. The guy told me that the keys are in the vehicle at the rail yard but it's in a "secure location" (lol ???) -- so it's possible someone got in it for a joy ride and they didnt bust the truck up.

However it's also possible they destroyed it and/or dropped french fries between the seats.

I told the dealer that it's hard for me to pay new car price on a stolen car. He said "that's your choice" (lol ???) -- I told him I dont expect him to take the loss on it, corporate should do it. He said he doubts they listen to that line of thinking.

Sounds fishy to me. **** show is being kind.
