RamCares Cp4 service solution updates - (Y78) CP4 recall issued by FCA - 2020 Parts Available May 10

How about those of us who sold our trucks because we didn’t feel safe in them? Maybe some incentive toward a new Ram? :)

By that same token, those of us that stuck it out should get a loyalty incentive.

Everybody gets a trophy!

I would have stuck it out if it hadn't been for the 3 sets of cab mounts, rear main seal leak and defective a/c that the dealer would not repair even though there was a s/b out.

Send me an address I’ll mail you a 10% off coupon for target, go pick yourself up a new skirt..:p
Funny, tell that to the ones that lost thousands because they depended on the their truck for work and the cp4 went out, or to the folks whose family vacation was ruined because they were stranded on the side of the road with their camper in tow and a blown cp4.

That could happen to anyone with any vehicle…. Do you live your life in fear of the unknown? You Could get in to an accident on your next drive and die does that mean you should stop driving and never leave your house?

Not really, I'm driving a '21 ecodiesel now. When my small town dealer told me they had 3 trucks in with bad cp4's that they couldn't get parts for, I decided I didn't like the odds.

Did the ecodiesel platform ditch the CP4?

8,500 miles on the truck. 3 belt/tensioner replacements, A/C has quit three times (now in to find results of dye test), full dash gut to perform A/C TSB, and sitting on a potential bomb with the CP4. I like my truck and will be keeping it, it will be corrected and i'm not willing to drive a ford or chevy. If they can't correct the A/C then I'll lemon law it and buy another one. Talked to dealer this morning and he'll call me when the parts are in for the CP4 replacement. Can't live life worrying about the "what if" factor.

Looks aside, the new 2022 Tundra is a turbocharged V6 with an electric motor. They claim diesel-like torque numbers which comes at a low RPM for their hybrid models. Yeah the number is impressive... until that tiny battery runs out. Then it's just a ****ty v6

I don't know that I could get over the look of the new Chevy, and toyota really stole the show.

I'm less concerned about the "battery running out". They have been running the Prius for decades and that battery seems to have both a long lifespan as well as a good charge.

Don't forget the Prius is a small car. Towing heavy with this hybrid system (when the extra torque of the e-motor is in high demand) will drain the battery pretty quick I'm sure of that, but we shall see I guess. I hope the TFL trucks will do a proper test pulling a max load up their favorite mountain.

I dont care what claims are made it is still hideous lol

Sweet. The recall shows up on my mopar page. Now that I'm getting the EGR I've been waiting 4 months for, I have more ammo to try and get the dealership to buy the truck from me. They've been begging people to sell vehicles to them and they are going to get their wish on this one if they offer enough for it. Hell, I'm willing to let it go for 10% less than book. This has been the worst vehicle experience I've ever had, but the dealership carries 90% of that blame.
