Rambox concern

Same here.

Same here. Third truck with Ramboxes and it was honestly one of the biggest reasons I stuck with Ram over the years. All 3 trucks had what you might call very minor cosmetic fitment issues but none leaked, even in a car wash, and I wouldn’t trade the functionality for anything. They’re perhaps the best feature.

When the patent eventually expires, watch how quickly other manufacturers adopt the idea. Just my two cents.

Please do your research here on purchase price and discounts before another order. We don't want to see you back here in 4-5 months bellyaching that you paid too much. :D
Hahaha yeah tell me about it. This dealer is the only one in my area selling factory orders below sticker. They knock 4k off the MSRP.

I just got on here and wasn’t aware I could do all that. Point me to a good place to start.

Build a truck online, send the link to one of the internet sales people at a high volume dealership. You should get pricing in the ballpark of 10 percent off of MSRP. I went through mark dodge in Louisiana. Grainger in Iowa was very close in price as was Chapman out of Arizona. Whichever one you go with, make sure they will price protect. That means the price you agree to at order is the price you pay on delivery, regardless of price increases. Most of these dealer should also give you any incentives or special financing available at the time of delivery.

Stickies (on top) in the general forum. One for MSRP discussion, one for builds and orders, etc.

There are threads here about discounted extended warranties (only buy Maxcare!) and probably anything else you could imagine.

The Ram Boxes on my 2020 are just fine and are extremely useful. I keep my hitch bars, Xchocks and other tow related items in them. Very convenient. Also, if there was a problem its covered by warranty. Just have the dealer fix it and if you continue to have an issue with the dealer call corporate and go to another dealer. Heck, if you really wanted you could probably sell it for more than what you are paying the dealer. It's still a very hot market.

My 2020 3500 has the Ram-Box and I absolutely love them. I have had 0 issues with mine. Ailment is right on and never have had a leak whatsoever.

I don’t know what all the nightmare stories I’ve read. For example… Ramboxes finish flaking off, continued misalignment, outer panel of lid held on by double faced tape, easy to break into them, cracking around lock, lids flying off, lids not latching, just to name a few. So beside that and getting heated with my salesman over using my new order to go on errands I ended up walking away and got my deposit back. As it turns out the are the only ones in my area knocking 4k off MSRP. I tried a couple of the online dealerships mentioned in this thread and neither one responded. I feel like in this current climate the buyer is kind of screwed with no leverage.

None of them sent a quote… go figure
