oh man, this is a tough situation to be in. I've been through lemon law with a '22 2500 and was lucky enough that Ram offered me a buy-back, which worked out really well for my family and me. LL is a bit of a crap shoot and I'll say to anyone going through it is follow the regulations according to your state and don't give too much credence to the experience or suggestions anyone else had. The manufacturer's response is going to be dependent on the market and the health of the company and that can shift wildly from year to year or even season to season. I filed mine just out of covid and folks online and the lawyers I spoke with said I was SOL and that no one was offering buy-backs at the time, but they were all wrong. RAM's folks were very non-responsive and impersonal... I NEVER had the sense that they cared at all about my situation, BUT in the end they did the right thing by me and I'll be forever grateful for that.
If you're going through this, my two cents would be to stay away from a lawyer in most cases as they're often incentivized to come to a quick monetary resolution. but that was just my experience and is highly dependent on the specifics.
AND (this is the only advice that I can guarantee) to stay patient, polite, and positive with whomever you're dealing with, starting with the dealer involved as they're more involved in the process than you might assume and have a more direct line to the manufacturer than you. It can be a very long process mostly dictated by policy well outside the control of anyone you're talking too and so taking your anger out on some poor desk jockey who's been getting reamed out all day by everyone else isn't going to serve you well. You can be firm AND kind. If you need to go punch a pillow to sh*t after you get off the phone, that's cool... I know I did a couple times.
