Radio comes on upon start up

I turned my radio off before turning off the engine. Upon restart, it comes back on. Even better is today I had the radio off and when I put it in reverse, the radio came on. Any suggestions?

2022 Tradesman 2500 with 8.4 screen.

It never really turns off, because it's more than just a radio due to the settings menu, apps, camera, etc.

If it's just the radio you want to have off (as in music), try this. From vehicle settings go to "Audio." In this arrow down to "Auto On Radio." Set as you desire. I'd guess yours is set to On. I have mine set to Recall Last, so if I had radio on it turns on when I start. Usually I have radio off.

As others mentioned, the Uconnect screen is for many other things, and never really turns off. I often hit the "screen off" button so it goes dark, especially when driving at night.

Like mentioned, it's more then a radio. When you put it in reverse it turns on for the backup camera.

Strange, I went to the exact screen shot you posted but mine does not have the Audio On/Off button. Has the other ones you have. Just seems very odd for the radio power to be off and when you put it in reverse the audio comes on as well of course as the back up camera.

What is your software version? I suggest first trying a soft reset. With ignition in "run," hold radio power button in (10-15 seconds) until screen goes blank. This will trigger a "reboot."

Did the reset and it re-loaded. Not sure where to check for my version. Anyway, still have the same options sans the Audio On/Off. Oh well, I'll just deal with it.

You can find the version in the settings. Arrow down until you get to System Information, then Version Information. Your truck is a 2022, right?
