Question on Surround Sound

for those with the new 2500/3500 and the 12 inch screen with 17 speaker system, will you please check to see if your surround works with XM radio? My surround works with FM and when I plug in my iphone but not with XM. I asked my dealer and they said it is not suppose to work with XM but that seems weird to me since it worked with my prior 2019 1500 Longhorn. Thanks in advance for y our help.

When you say surround sound, are you saying that the truck plays discrete surround sound, like you would get from a DVD/BluRay movie, or multi-channel audio? Or are you just saying that you get stereo sound from all the speakers, except for XM, which only plays in the front? I do not have my Ram yet, but if it plays true discreet surround sound, that would be a pleasant surprise, as I have quite a bit of multi-channel audio in DVD-A, BluRay audio and MC FLAC.

In the settings you have an option for surround sound. In the 1500 it works for all sources. In my 2500 it does not work for XM.

The XM signal is very poor quality audio in my '19 2500 system. Bluetooth and CD have true 5.1 channel sound (spending on source), but XM is barely stereo.

With XM on mine all speakers play but it is a simple stereo signal that is spread left/right instead off the surround sound simulation.

I can not select the surround sound feature in settings for XM in my Power Wagon.
