Put 35x12.5R20 no level

New to the HD pickups... Would I be good with: BFG T/A K02 35x12.5x20/E 121R Tire Type: "Light Truck & SUV"
** The "Light Truck" has me concerned
I see that fitting the tire is not an issue. But do these pickups require heavier duty tires? Thanks... still learning here.

E rating / 121 load rating is what tells you the load of the tire.

“Light truck” basically means not a semi/ not needing to be weighed on the hwy

Yes, you'll be good with that BFG KO2. It's the tire I'll be running as soon as I wear the factory trash down. My truck is in storage for the winter, so it doesn't see many miles. I can't wait to get the tires swapped though!

I run the KO2 on my wife's Cherokee TrailHawk and they are great. They do make a slight hum, I notice it.... she's oblivious to it. But it's not loud or overbearing in any sense. They wear well and work great in dirt, grass, sand... anywhere but in mud holes. In mud holes, they require some liberal application of throttle to keep cleaning and pulling.

That KO2 tire in my opinion is the single best AT tire on planet earth. Every other AT tire is fighting to see who can be the #2 AT tire on earth.

ehh.... not so much

BFG AT is extremely overrated, IMHO, and I’m a BFG fanboy. I run their 39” red label krawlers ($4000 set of tires @$950+ each) on my Toyota and swear by them but their AT is underwhelming

Underwhelming as a hard core offroad tire I'll agree. I run Cooper STT Pro 37x13.50 on my Jk, amazing and awesome tires. But I have led groups at Rausch Creek where you'll see all kinds of lame jeeps with all sorts of junk tires. The guys with the BFG AT KO2 are never my problem children.

They work way better on the road than my STT Pro, and they work good enough in the trails to be a serious consideration for the average couple in the JK or JL doing some weekends of wheeling. For me, I need the big, soft, heavily lugged tires to pull me up the rock faces, obviously you do to with your stickies. But the KO2 has always left me impressed for is ability to wear so well that it may dry rot before going bald, works great commuting, awesome in snow, great on trails, looks fantastic..... yes it's priced high and it's heavy. But it's worth it.

I’m not comparing them to Offroad tires, I’m just saying I’m a BFG lover and wouldn’t run anything else for a real rock crawling tire (reds)

Being a BFG lover i still say that Bfg At are heavy and stiff, they suck off road. They also suck on road. They’re over priced. The only thing they do well is last. They last forever and ever and ever. As a whole, overrated and underwhelming.

I'll second this. They're definitely way overpriced, they don't balance well at all, they're louder than the competition on the road, they wear poorly, and not too far into the tire life they become slick as snot on ice and snow.

I'm currently in love with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's... never had better on and off road traction with a tire, they're everything that the KO2's are not.

In what size?

I ran them in 37x12.50R20 on my last truck and was not impressed. However, I have them in 285/65R18 on my wife's Durango and love them.

They of course showed up again when I was shopping this time around, but I passed, so just curious.

I've had KO2's in 265/75R16 and 285/75R16. The Wildpeaks I have are 265/75R16 but planning to get 285/75R18's for the new truck (Amazon has them for $258 right now).

I have a set in that size that I got from Amazon and I'm really loving them. They are a lot shorter than their spec on my stock rims.

What do they measure out to be when they're mounted on your truck? Any rubbing or fitment issues?

Does anyone run the Nitto Terra's?

I've had the Falken's on my last truck and thought they were a great AT and I got pretty great mileage out of them considering how often I overloaded my 1/2 ton truck. Would've bought another set but I got a steal on a set of Nitto's and they performed as well if not better. The tires had about 30K on them when I traded the truck in on my RAM, still had plenty of life too.

I have a SXS for having fun off-road, my truck just has to get me to the cabin or trail head or ranch house or wherever I'm making camp.

No rubbing or fitment issues. The photo is the closest point of contact to a Husky mudfap. They are a full inch less than spec on my Longhorn rims. Spec is 34.8" on a 8" rim and I set my circumference to 2697mm to get it calibrated to GPS speed at sticker psi. The mudflaps are perfectly even with the tires. Yeah, it needs a bath.

Yeah I just went out and measured my stock tires and they're just a hair under 33" then I went and measured the 315/75R16's on my Rover and they were right at 33.5" (Pro Comp says they're 34.5")... they're never as big as you think they will be.

I also just measured fender heights and got 40.5" up front and 43.25" in the rear... does that sound right? Looks like even the guys without leveling kits are sitting more level than that...

Mine are 41" and 44" with those tires and the stock suspension with offroad package. I worded it poorly above, I meant to say that the Husky mudflap is the thing that comes closest to rubbing the tire and there's still a lot of space there.

285/75-18 which measure out to 34.5” at 55psi (specs say 35.1” but that’s max inflation)

wheels are 18x9 +18.

I can rub a tiny bit during articulation but not much at all.

this is with the wheel turned to the closest point of near contact

Can you share some pics of your truck side and front and back to see fill and how they line up...you are on stock wheels correct?

Any pics of truck side and front/back with the 285/75R18's looking at same

I’ve been seeing a lot of questions about this. I recently(yesterday) put on a set of master craft Courser MXTs 35x12.50R20. Stock suspension, no level. No rub at all at full lock(I tested it)

And after
I appreciate your setup and posting. I purchased a 2024 RAM 2500 Limited Night with factory Rear Air Suspension last week and am installing 35X12.5R20 BFGoodrich KO2s on 20X10 +10mm wheels tomorrow. It is goo to hear later model stock RAM 2500 can accommodate 35X12.5 tires. Quick question: which GDRV Reflection TT are you towing? I am have 2023 GDRV Imagine 2600RB, but can considering a Reflection 310MKTS. Any insight would be appreciated.
