Well I was little skeptical because who sell Trucks 3.5% below invoice? So $1,000 down NR deposit. I'm not really sure when I'll get my Truck maybe xmas

My salesman talked to his regional who talked to his corporate dude and they came back saying that because I'm a sunroof Limited Longhorn with all tech options.... look at around February delivery. Or later.

Well I pulled the trigger and purchased a new 21 2500 CTD Limited from a dealer about 50 miles away. This has almost exactly the options/configuration what I was going to order. Level 1, 5th wheel, NO Clearance Lights, and the only option I thought I wanted it doesn't have is the auto level suspension. But I'll just add some AirLift bags and adjsut when needed. And I am apprehensive about black. Means lots of garage time to keep pretty.
Traded my Level 2 Bighorn with 31k. Didn't get what I expected for trade value, but 3 dealers all offered exactly the same amount and I got within 10% of what I wanted. The dealer I bought from showed me some data that the hyper-inflated and panicky used market has cooled in the last couple weeks, to the tune of 10% +. So I guess that explains some. The great news is I actually got a significant discount from MSRP. Not Mark Dodge level discounts but slightly better than FFP! Way better than I expected! Six other dealers all wanted MSRP or over for Laramies and Limited's were unicorns. The really good news is it is in San Antonio and expected delivery to dealership between end of next week or the week after.
Really excited, but sad to see my beautiful Gen 5 go, it is a really nice truck, just not enough oomph for towing. I am sure I'll be over that as soon as I get the new one.
.And don't tell the wife, but my garage car lift is going to get upgraded. Its 8k rated and the 2500 is slightly over that. I don't feel comfortable putting the new truck up on that, I was a little nervous about the 1500 on it.
