Price negotiated from MSRP

Is Aaron Ginsburgh not still at Mark Dodge? His direct email was easily available, and was the go to go only a few months ago.

Nothing against Sandi, but surely someone should have her actual email. No idea why you'd have to start with a generic email to their entire online team.

Went and got Aaron's contact info. He is the Mark Dodge OG.

We should really make a thread here similar to the one on 5thgenrams by SilentBob with the preferred dealers, rebates, etc. A copy and paste would be sufficient for the most part.

In another thread, I am pretty sure I read that he left the dealership. May have been earlier in this convo.

Worst experience ever. Met sales manager who looked at me and said "just so you know, I hope you got something to drive because If you trade it in you trade it today. That's how we order trucks around here"

I walked out

In a way, I can not blame the Sales Manager for what he said. How could a dealer offer a
big trade in value without knowing what is going to happen in the market in the next 4 months
waiting for your new truck to come in? In our area, we are starting to see things turn around in the
vehicle and housing market. I would think at some point prices will fall as quick as they had risen
over the past year and a half.

I started by emailing Aaron, but got a response from Sandi coming from [email protected]. I think she's the only one that uses that address.

Here is her contact info, the office number is generic and goes to the receptionist.

I have exchanged emails with Sandi this morning. Here is the gist of what I got back from her.

"FCA discontinued new orders on the 2021 RAM Truck models on May 6th and have not yet started production on the 2022’s however, we expect that to start up here in the next few weeks. We are still waiting on an official start date. Once production does start, we anticipate delivery 14-16 weeks later. We are currently taking orders for the 2022 models and would be delighted to assist you with yours. If you would like to create what you are looking to order using the 2021 models on Build & Price a 2021 Ram 3500 | Ram (ramtrucks.com) – save it as a PDF (preferably) and email that back over to me with any additional notes, request, comments you feel are important, I will be happy to replicate it on the 2022 models and provide you with a great sale price."

So I have been working on the Ram Build&Price page and working on some builds for her to price out. Lake Charles is only about 6.5-7hrs away from us and we'll very likely fly out for the weekend, pick up the truck, hit the casinos, and drive home. Not a bad deal at all.

EDIT - I had talked to a salesman at Dave Smith and seems like the best price they were offering right now was about $1,000-1,500 under MSRP. That's their "too low to show" pricing. So, unless I just got a bad salesman, doesn't sound like Dave Smith is the bargain dealership they used to be.

"UPDATE

As of today Phillip Olson is no longer with Bud Clary. All current orders should be honored. I would like to thank him for all the amazing deals he provided to many of us on this forum. Philip is focusing on his other work of building houses. If you are in Washington state give him a call.

If you have been dealing with Aydin Aladinov, he is still there. I will have more details tomorrow."

I was thinking of Phillip at Bud Clary!

They let him go literally 1 week before my truck delivered. Getting answers was stressing me the heck out. Lots of unknowns during that time!

It all worked out and it sounds like Phillip has a side construction business so he will be fine.

Slight issue with Affiliate Rewards. I initially was going to order a 2021. I was told I had to order a 2022. Affiliate Rewards didn’t account for 2022 models yet. Dealer isn’t going to do the pricing with no code. Anyone know when they might re up the models? It’s sad because GM added 2022 models to their discount site. I could buy one of those I guess.

Are you talking about the Affiliates control number or the Affiliates pricing? I ordered a 3500 chassis cab on 7/1 and they couldn't print the FFA or EP pricing on the POC but the sales manager could get the FFA price.

I have a control number but the dealer said it’s not good on 2022 models. What’s weird is that the affiliate website doesn’t specify year it simply says Ram 3500.

When I went to my dealer late last month he said that in "Dealer Connect" there was nothing about the 2022 Affiliates pricing on any of HD'S. But he got my price from the sales manager. So obviously the pricing is there just there system hasn't been updated to include them. There must be a back door way of getting them.

The price is there. It’s literally 1% below the Invoice price that shows on the screen. They told me that the control number wasn’t “valid” for the 2022 model. But I will call today and tell them that it shouldn’t matter. The affiliate site doesn’t specify year. Plus by the time they get it it should be fine.
dealer just called and said they will call Monday because the system kicks out my control number as “no results found”. My number is unused and expires in 2022 so that isn’t it. According to the dealer they can’t order the truck under affiliate rewards without a valid number. I really don’t know at this point. See what they say Monday.

Ok, that clarifies things. If the issued control number is continues to be invalid you can always contact the Affiliates program to correct it.

Worked with Sandi today on pricing out a few different builds / trim levels to see which direction I want to go. Not using any rebates at all that I'm aware of at this point, all 3 builds come in about 11.25% lower than MSRP, which seems awful dang good in today's climate.

I'm not sure of any rebates, etc that I should be looking for? She did mention that they typically offer a $500 first responder discount, but this isn't confirmed as of yet for 2022. She said if it is in fact continued, she will of course deduct that from the prices. Any other suggestions on rebates? 11.25% off sure seems pretty solid already though.

When I talked to a salesman at Dave Smith in Idaho to ask what their "too low to show" price was on a particular truck, I think it was only between $1,000-1,500 off MSRP. So doesn't look like they are quite the bargain they used to be. Plus I'd rather drive 6-7 hours from Louisiana back home than drive back to Texas from Idaho.

I’m going to look today and they said that they will give me a trade offer on my 2019 2500 big horn. I’m in the NY/NJ area, Anyone recommend a site for trade value? KBB is like 53k. True car is 47k. It’s a big horn level 2 w less than 15k miles on it. Should I hold fast on 50k?
Gas or diesel? Just sold my 19 diesel for 58k bh, cc, night edi

Looks like they may have walked their discount back a point. My 2021 was within a few thousands of point from 12.25% off. About a $600 difference.

2022 Megacab 3500 HO 4x4 Laramie - MSRP $73,135

Bud Clary $66,375

Mark Dodge $65,194

Both Gary (at Bud Clary) and Sandi (at Mark Dodge) were great to deal with. I signed paperwork with Mark Dodge yesterday. I was looking forward to purchaing from a dealer in the Pacific northwest, and enjoying the drive home to Central California, but the price savings with Mark Dodge was too good to pass up even factoring shipping costs.
I too live on the Central Coast and have questions re; shipping. Do they get you in touch with a shipper or how does that all work? Also, approximately how much does it cost to ship it here? Enclosed or open trailer shipping? Thanks!

Upon giving your situation some further thought I don't why they are connecting the Affiliates pricing with ordering you a truck. The Affiliates pricing only comes into play at check out time. If what they are telling is true why did my dealer not even flinch when they ordered mine. I gave them my control number.

Tomorrow when you talk to them and they stand their ground find another dealer. If I got it right you live in Joisey so there must be a number of dealers within a thirty mile radius from you ( although it might take 4 hours to get them due to the traffic) go to another one.

I was working a deal with a dealer about 3 hrs from me on an in stock '21 2500 cc 6.4 and they wanted 5K over MSRP + $1,800 for VIN etching something or another. I politely refused both of those markups and they came down to MSRP but would not honor any vouchers - not Penfed or even my $1,000 Ram pop up cash voucher. Even with the 20+ week wait, I think I'll order a '22 and not from those knuckleheads. From what I'm seeing here Mark Dodge seems to be a no BS type of dealer. Kills me to have to order from across the country but may just be worth it.
