Price negotiated from MSRP

What does the maintenance plan cover and what’s the ballpark price on it?

You likely won’t find a dealer better than that in CA. CA dealers are the scum of the planet and it’s rare to find a good one. They are out there but hard to find.

Mark dodge has actually raised their discount significantly recently but my deal still beat it with the 10% rebate that’s no longer offered. Stellantis supposedly changed their pricing structure recently so dealers keep more on the order end but they have done away with rebates so it kind of evens out a bit since the 10% rebate was taken off the table

Man, long story on the maintenance plan. I got them on my last 3 Fords because I like locking in the price, and not having to worry about what a specific dealership is charging me as a walk-in retail maintenance. If you sell before the # of maintenances are done, you get the prorated refund, just like any warranty.

I kept shopping around and found VERY little information on pre-paid FULL scheduled maintenance on these Rams. Seemed more like a Ford thing, but I could find Mopar or specific dealership "Oil plans" everywhere. Basically its just oil and filters, other stuff like the rotations, fluids etc didn't seem to be in there on the "oil plans". Anyway, I asked Granger if they offered them and they had very little info, but gave me a quote for 4, 5, 6, 7yr plans, for the DIESEL maintenance (not the regular auto maintenance) with many items beyond just the oil and filters. It assumes 15k miles/yr at 6 month intervals, use it or lose it. I don't know how many miles I will put on so I researched what my local dealer charges for the first 7,500 and 15k visits. The 7500 was $260 and the 15k was I think $800. Doing the math from there, it was a no-brainer, the Granger quote - EVEN if I don't use a few - still comes out ahead vs walk-in prices at my local. Even Tuttle's floor price I still come out ahead.

Since we're getting into the weeds and talking about maintenance plans, I can PM you the Granger quote, and the Mopar contract (that my local dealer shared). MVP at Granger does NOT have the sample contract, just the Mopar number and cost (plus $25). I asked many times and the gal answering the MVP Granger emails, nor Zach were able to provide it. Many "truck guys" will say this is not worth it, but I am absolutely not touching anything with this engine, I am a digital electronics guy and an not about to screw with my engine or rotate my tires. I need it professionally done and this saves $$ vs walk-in retail prices.

Like I said, I'll PM you quotes and contracts if you want, I don't want to clutter the MSRP discussions here.

$62k before taxes, title, tags, and fees…right?

It was just over 62k. Included all MD doc fees and such. Doesn’t include sales tax or tags. Fortunately it’s being registered in a state with no taxes and about $320 a year tags

What state is that? I need to move to a great state and get out of the communist state I’m in.

I have a quote of $60k on the road for a 2024 RAM Tradesman Level two CCSB 4x4 Cummins. Sticker is $71k, their price is $54k before taxes and fees. Is that a good deal? Truck has clearance lights, 5th wheel/gooseneck package, off road package, bedliner, side steps, chrome appearance, anti spin diff. Dealer says after tomorrow the rebates are gone. Advice?

Doesn’t sound like a bad deal. I’m not a fan of the tradesman interior myself- spending 50k on a truck, I’d rather spend another 3/5k and get a big horn trim ram but that’s just a personal opinion.

The tradesman is well optioned and you’re talking 16k off which isn’t bad at all.

Not sure what you guys think of Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, La. But I just purchased a 2024 Ram 2500 Big Horn 6.7 Cummings that stock price $75790.00. My purchase price was 60790.00 plus doc fee of 425.00 and the rest la state fees. They gave a fair trade for my 23-F150 Lariat @ 53k so I extremely happy . I would do this deal everyday, most of the rest of the dealers in my area didn’t take but 13k off but added a few extra fees.

Mark dodge is excellent. They do what they say they will do and their pricing is great. Of course you could shop around and maybe get similar locally but deals seem to change in the finance office or when it arrives. That doesn’t happen with mark dodge. Never tried a trade with them, they will help get vehicles shipped if needed. Koons I believe slightly beats them but their customer service I’ve read is subpar and they won’t sell to several states. Grainger is slightly higher and they won’t sell to certain entities, more red tape. I guess if your local to either of those 2 , great but otherwise I’d do mark dodge again

Cheapest Bighorns I can find around within 100 miles are $63-$65k BEFORE any fees.

mark dodge is the only answer, I spent months/hours searching and dealing with complete scum losers... none would budge and half wouldn't negotiate with me unless I came into the dealership. ONE 15 minute call with mark dodge and I had the truck loaded , ordered for way less money than lot trucks . It doesn't have to be painful and mark dodge proved that. I would have paid more just to avoid dealing with salesmen, yet it was still way cheaper

As others have said Mark Dodge is excellent. It's the best vehicle buying experience I have had. On top of that we made it a fun old fashioned 4 day road trip driving the truck home. No pre-planned route or hotel reservations, just drove generally north towards home (Northern Illinois).

We did that with my father’s truck from MD. 3 day trip from Houston back…this time I had them transport it to AZ and met them there. Miss the trip but I’m busy with summer vacations and finishing some houses up. Worth the $1100 to go 1500 miles

I ordered a ram 3500 Laramie diesel from MD. I received 22% off with rebates plus the first responder one (covered their doc fee basically). Pretty sweet deal. 80k msrp, 62k final price…

Has something changed? I just quoted an $84,3xx MSRP truck with them and was quoted $12K off all in. That puts it at $72,xxx. Big difference, in pricing from what i've seen posted here. The trucks on their website are all $17K off or so with similar MSRPs in the $84-$85K range. Not sure what gives - maybe i'm missing something. I emailed them to inquire about the difference but haven't heard back.

Who did your quote come from?

My deal was somewhat timed right. I received the new msrp (truck built after MSRP drop as original msrp was like 90k). Mark dodge was doing around 12% off with affiliate at the time. I also got the 10% factory rebate too. So it turned an 80k msrp down to 62k and change before taxes/reg. I got the first responder 500 which wasted the doc free out.

Mark dodge is currently doing a higher dealer discount with the current orders that is about 2-4k better than what I got. However, there is a very small factory rebate compared to my 8k off, currently I think its 1-2k max....
You could be able to Get a truck like mine from mark dodge for 67k-ish before taxes and reg...

Yes, they changed things recently:

The quote was from Mark Dodge. $67K is in the range of what i was expecting ... at $72K, i'll look at other brands. Appreciate your comment.

yeah - something off on that quote...from the link above, the $12k off is the dealer discount without any rebates included (top end of that range).

mark dodge discounts without any rebates
MSRP under $65K = $8K Off
MSRP $65k-$75k = $9K Off
MSRP $75k-85k = $12K Off
MSRP $85k-$95k = $13K Off
MSRP $95k-$100k = $14K Off
MSRP $100K+ = $15K Off

My msrp on a level 1 Laramie 3500 mega so diesel was 80500. If I ordered today, it would be 68500, minus any rebates so it would be like 66000-67500 depending on rebates.
