Just curious did sandy give you offer on your potential trade in?That was directly from Sandi when I asked her if she could get them to give me a ballpark for my current truck so I knew if there was any point in looking to trade it in to them when my new truck arrives. I'm not bothered, I just sold a camper for $5500 more than I was offered for trade in, and within $3k of what we bought it for 4 years ago.
I'm hoping the market on used trucks doesn't soften too much between now and when I'm ready to sell my truck (for my sake, which I understand is a bit selfish), which will probably be listed once I know my new truck is built and on the train, October-ish. If so I'm hoping to get around $55k+/- depending on what comps are in the area at the time, which would also be within about $3k of what I bought my 2019 1500 Limited for.

That's how it was where I got my truck. They sold over 300 vehicles the month I picked mine up. Sadly, that guy left and the dealership changed their ways for whatever reason.Exactly to be honest not even sure how they can even pay for there light bill at 12 % off msrp . Wow I had no clue monthly volume. Just wondering if that's every month? So perhaps they get there delivery quicker. That's how it was where I got my truck. They sold over 300 vehicles the month I picked mine up. Sadly, that guy left and the dealership changed their ways for whatever reason.
The way I see it, is if you make a $1000 from 3000 sales, you make three million bucks. Or you chase $6000 per sale, but in turn only sell 500 a year. Ultimately, you end up in the same place.
My bad i.miss that. So is that considered a good offer for your truckYes, I mentioned in post #1898 that the "today" trade in value at Mark Dodge for my 2019 was $48k, and the 60 day guaranteed value was $45k. Vroom offered $52,300.

The dealership I ordered through was in Washington. Took me ~6 weeks, IIRC, from order to delivery. Ordered in April of 2021, received in May of 2021.Wow I had no clue monthly volume. Just wondering if that's every month? So perhaps they get there delivery quicker.

what did you order? No biggie, lots of posts come through, a few are bound to slip by.
Not a particularly good trade offer from Mark Dodge, but vroom.com was a decent offer. I haven't sold it yet as I want to know my new truck is close before I get serious about getting my current truck sold. Just because Sandi said they expect the truck in about 12 weeks doesn't mean I'm going to rely on that until I get notice that it's been built and about to hit the rail car. Not that I think she's lying, just that I expect it's an optimistic and generic amount of time they are quoting right now. I don't know that anyone has a clue since the whole situation with chips is so unpredictable.
I guess we get last laugh on the msrp dealershipsJust ordered a 3500 mega cab Laramie with SO 6.7 and L1(A) package from Aaron @ Mark Dodge. MSRP $75515, sale price $67736. Free shipping up to 250 miles. I'm about 350 miles from the dealership but they agreed to take it 250 miles and I'll meet them there. I called a few local dealerships to see if they could come close to Mark Dodge and they basically laughed at me. Aaron is no BS, just gives you the best deal possible.

That's cool. I never knew that. Would love to know how big the bonuses actually are. I've always assumed that the whole pricing situation was still padded in the dealers favor to some degree, as in "invoice" was still a few percent above their actual bottom line."Volume" dealers also get bonuses when they hit x amount of sales per month. Hypothetical Example=If Bud Clary sells 100 HD Rams, the dealer gets a bonus from FCA of $2500. However if they sell 300, their bonus jumps to $25,000.
This is how they are able to sell "under" invoice and still make money.

Not to mention, most of these guys (well, at least Bud Clary for sure) usually tack on a non-negotiable doc fee. I think BC was ~200 or something like that. Zero impact on the deal, as far as I'm concerned, but that's money going straight into their pockets - which I totally support in this situation.
I think Mark Dodge gets $299 in dealer fees. I was quoted $900! from a dealer in NC. His price was within $300 of Mark Dodge, but blew himself out of the water with the dealer fee. That's cool.
