vLinker MC+ is needed if you're using JScan on an iOS device.

It's only $8 more so better to recommend.

I’m curious if ANYBODY that has a 3500 with the 12” digital cluster has the tire pressure screen. It does show up when you use alfaobd to change from TPIS to TPMS.
My 2023 3500 Limited has the TPIS screen. There are seven screens in vehicle info. TPIS is between Oil Life and Exhaust brake.

That screen is there with TPIS and TPMS, If you drop the tire pressure 20% below the set value does the low tire pressure ikon light up?

I thought you didn’t have that screen with your factory TPIS?

Well from day one it was not there. But when I switched to TPMS it showed up. Yours is set for TPIS and it has the same screen as mine set for TPMS. When the pressure drops below 20% the tires light up red and I get the low tire icon. I am wondering if the same happens with yours set for TPIS. It seems the difference between the two may not be as much with the digital cluster. But I don’t know for sure.

Remember there is never a warning with TPIS.

You get a warning because it’s programmed for
TPMS.

Just to be clear: EVERY SINGLE RAM TRUCK that has tire pressure sensors installed from factory should have the menu screen of the overhead truck view with the tire pressure numbers in their instrument cluster screen, whether it is TPIS or TPMS.
It seems that 2023 (maybe 2024?) 3500 SRW with the new 12” digital cluster doesn’t have that screen when configured for TPIS, but does have it if you switch the configuration for TPMS.
It looks like 2023 3500 DRW with the new 12” digital cluster DOES have that screen when configured for TPIS.
I don’t know if it’s an issue that the digital cluster just doesn’t recognize the 3500 SRW vehicle line, chassis type, or what, when configured for TPIS, or what the issue might be.

I’m curious how many other 2023+ 3500 owners out there (with new 12” digital cluster only) have, or don’t have the tire pressure screen, and if it’s a SRW or DRW truck.

Understood. But with the new cluster does your tires light up red and the yellow icon ? That is what I am wondering. I personally don’t mind the warning.

A 3500 is factory equipped with Tire Pressure Information System, which means it’s for the driver’s information only. There will be no warnings that pop up whatsoever if a tire goes low or flat- no yellow tire symbol on the left, no red tires in the tire pressure info screen, nothing. You have to deliberately navigate to the tire pressure screen to see your pressures, and even then, there will be no indication that a tire is below threshold if it is.
The only issue here is, you and the other 3500 SRW owner do not originally have this screen even though you are supposed to.

On 2500’s, or any vehicle with a GVWR 10,000 or under, it will be a Tire Pressure MONITORING System. This means the tire pressures are actively monitored, and when a tire falls below threshold, the yellow tire indicator will illuminate, and the tire pressure screen will automatically pop up with no input from the driver, and the offending tire(s) will be illuminated red, and you’ll be instructed on what psi to air the offending tire up to in order for the warnings to go away.

Perfect thank you !

Thanks! That is the way I knew it to work on my 2014 but with the issue I had on my 2023 I wasn’t sure if something changed in 2023.

Do you think if I flipped it back to TPIS I would loose that tile again? I don’t mind the warnings but I am more curious then anything at this point.

You’ll have to try it to find out.

How do you turn on tpms with warning light with alfaobd. i have tpms but I cant seem to get the warning to pop up when I lower tire pressure by 30 psi.

Thanks I missed that and all is working now. Thank again. People on this site are great.
