Hey guys, i did a few searches and didn’t come up with much.. Im looking to add some either OEM flares or possibly the powerwagon flares on my tradesman.. matte black is preferred (don’t know if you have to paint the OEM flares) just want some ideas and some tips. I’ve seen some OEM flares that require push tabs in the fender (i am not drilling into my paint) I’m leaning towards the matte black Powerwagon flares right now.. 09553BB7-B764-44BF-AB5B-2CF104A40C2F.jpeg3590597A-B4BB-4414-A361-26821B5D8442.jpeg

Let me know how the instal went and what part #s and hopefully pics!!

Thanks

Dang it.. how about the OEM Laramie flares? Do they have holes outside the wheel well?

I wouldn’t know, but the tabs on the PW are weak….have a couple trying to cut loose after getting drug through the juniper. Screws holding them on too. They haven’t gotten all scratched up like on the Raptor, though.

Power Wagon definitely 100% has holes. Fairly certain Laramie is the same

Starting to think i might not get flares.. if i decide to remove them later chances are, the paint will be damaged underneath. my tires do poke just enough to get the sides dirty.. If I do get flares I’ll probably do the Bushwhacker OE style..

I put PPF under my bushwacker oem where they make contact with the body. Just a thought.

I did the power wagon flares on my tradesman. Pretty easy. You have to get the flares plus different parts at the bottom back of the wheel wells. I can't remember what they call them.

I put protective tape where the flares meet the body and removed all the clips off the back of the flares. They sit flush and tight to the body.

There was a thread on one of the other forums where we posted pictures and part numbers. I'll see if I can find it

Found it. It was on this forum. You can see all the pictures I posted of the protective tape too

I went the PW flare route as well, just cut the tabs off. Put PPF on the fenders to prevent any clear coat wear. I've pulled them a couple times to inspect for wear, no issues so far. Here's the part list with prices from ~1.5 years ago.

Did you PPF the entire fender or just where the flare makes contact?
