Has anyone got the actual measurement and photos of the different step height from the RAM running boards to the Amp Research ones. Those that have them are the XL a better choice then the standard power step? I'm leaning towards the XL but if it's too low a first step and too high a second it's just trading one issue for another. Are the standard Amp power steps a better division of the height of steps?

I have the regular AMP steps. Although I didn’t measure the difference, my vertically challenged wife likes them. She struggled with the OEM steps. I would hazard a guess that they are about 4in or so lower. Cool thing is they are behind the rocker panels when retracted. Can’t see them and they are out of harm’s way off roading.

I've had the regular AMP Powersteps on 2 Rams and a Bronco. Current ones are 14 years old. The paint is finally beginning to peel a little where chipped from years of ice and snow. As for height, they work great. If your truck is not lifted though, the XL version may drop too low. In fact AMP states that the XL version is designed for lifted trucks.
