Power Folding Mirror

Hi all,

I’m putting on after market tow mirrors that are manual folding so there is not a wire / plug for the folding feature.

2019 Ram 2500 Bighorn.

I had an issue with the passenger one and had to send it back, so I put the OEM moose ear back on ( passenger side only)

A week later I tapped it on a pole at a drive through and it was out of place. I hit the button and it manually folded. I hit the button again and it will not open. I manually opened it but it doesn’t stay in place. The button will no longer even close it. I don’t know if I broke it? I was only drifting about two mph when I tapped it. I find it hard to believe these cannot be manually folded? Other research online shows power folding mirrors can be manually folded.

I take what you are tryin go say is, you have the power folding mirror feature on your BH, but you replaced those with non-power aftermarket mirrors. Had an issue with the passenger side and reverted that side back to power folding. Hit it and now it doesn't work. You might have damaged the gears inside that allow it to power fold and hold it's position. The power folding mirrors can be manually folded. Pretty cool you "drifted" into a drive thru. Skillz! Haha. JK.

Yeah you pretty much have it right. I gave the long version of why one is aftermarket no power folding and why I have the oem one on passenger side and it is the issue.

I highly doubted the problem lies with the driver one not connected (like a hyper flash issue happens with led).

Anyway, yeah, I drift as much as possible with the negative 2 MPG this thing gets lol.

If I manually fold my power mirrors on my 22 they will not lock into place either.
Well my issue is after partially manually folding (hitting that pole at a slow speed) hitting the button to close them worked, but not again to open them or even close them again thereafter.
