Does anybody else have this going on? It only happens when I pull my 20,000 lb fifth wheel. Sounds like shocks to me.

If it’s what I think you are talking about then yes.

No fix

Cab mounts replaced 2x and still no fix.

Worse in colder weather and any off camber or pot hole scenario

Sounds like it is under the floor board. I get mine worse on the passenger side.

Just another FCA win

Mine seems to be low and front of the pedals on the drivers side.

It’s the same cab mount on the opposing side. I get the same but a little more rare than my passenger sjde.

Keeps getting worse for me. I hope it’s not going to become a standard maintenance item

FCA please learn to put your vehicles together

When do it happen? Turning? Going over bumps?

Straight but mostly Off camber bumps approach and departure
Seems as if my right wheel falls into a pot hole or anything like that abruptly makes a noise. And decompression of the suspension seems to result in it.

Also when taking off from a dead stop with the trailer in tow. The cab rotates because of torque will do it too. Otherwise the same as NordicNews' last answer.

You try loosening the cab bolts and retorqueing them to 80 ft/lb? Also I know there is a tsb for this with c-pillar cab cushion replacements. I suppose the tsb is what Nordic was talking about.

I crawl under and have to retorque every couple weeks.

Dealer wouldn’t touch my a pillar. Said it wasn’t that.

But I have lost faith in any FCA dealer to think critically about any of this.

I’d have better luck blind folded and drunk fixing my truck than any dealer.

I hear you. Are those bolts loose every time you get under there? If that’s the case I better grab a beer and a wrench and check mine out!

68349250AF is the part number they are putting on the 2500 in the TSB. Mopar parts site says it doesn’t fit 3500, but that doesn’t seem right to me. It is 3x the price of the bushing for the 3500.

Nope they are still tight for the most part. Maybe turn 1/16th of an inch but that’s not a lot.

Bout to blue Loctite them in again but alas.

I have found hitting it with the torque wrench helps though and have font above 80 to 85 lol

My truck is now doing this backing out of the driveway - we have steep/sharp curbing, no smooth apron.

There is one place that my truck does this every time. It’s a right hand turn from a stop sign with a small pothole on the passenger side. Front passenger side clunks bad every time I take this turn. That’s the only time it happens for me so far, but it is also a new occurrence. I’ve had the truck for a year and it’s about four weeks into this noise starting.

Same problem with my 2020 3500. No solution yet although they did find a lot of the cab mounts to be slightly loose.

Hello everyone, we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this concerning noise with your trucks! We would certainly appreciate the opportunity to investigate this further alongside a dealer appointment. Please do not hesitate to send us a private message for additional support while addressing this with your dealer. We are more than willing to get a case escalated on your behalf to a customer care specialist for additional assistance in having this resolved.
I have also attached TSB 23-032-20 that may be applicable to some of your vehicles. To ensure this TSB applies, a qualified technician must review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle prior to service. Please feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions!

I'll take another crack at it with my dealer then I'll be escalating. A guy I work with has had his 2019 at another dealer numerous times with no fix. They're just throwing parts at it now with no idea what is causing the noise.

This is on my punch list for the dealer when I can get the truck in for the bed step recall.

I did have to have the cab and bed aligned when the truck was new and they claimed everything was tight.

It's "popping/clunking" on small potholes at the front right now as well.

There are way more trucks experience this than CP4 failures hahaha .....

hey FCA a solution would be ideal.
