I keep having a consistent popping/cracking sound from the chassis on the drivers front side when accelerating from a stop... Also, probably related is a strong pull to the left and a random loose feeling in the steering and then back to pulling hard to the left, and some wheel hop at high speed. 2 different dealerships have failed to diagnose the problem... The sound is so obvious I don't see how they cannot find the issue. I called Ram and they set me up with a case # and said to take it to a third (new) dealership for diagnosis... This is getting crazy, plus these dealerships want to charge for diagnosis, but my truck is under 2 warranties... one is the cert/pre-owned and the second is the Mopar extra care coverage. Not sure what to do other than take it to a third dealer.

Jack up that wheel and spin it, check for brake dragging, bad wheel bearing etc…or, take it to a real mechanic for a look and diagnosis.

I just redid the front brakes... pads and rotors... if it is dragging.. then the problem is in the caliper or some other part of the sophisticated brake control system.

In the day it would be caliper, what could go wrong in the antilock etc. systems who knows.
