You didn't strike a nerve with me, I am in agreement with you! I wouldn't want a truck slammed together in 93 min either unless it was like three assemblies that take 93min to put together, lol. But if they did build them that quick you, myself and lots of others here would already be driving them, which would be nice, haha

The good folks who work for FCA are well aware of what happens on the assembly line. Even if they don't work that section of the assembly line they more than likely have a friend that does. Most assembly line productions also post daily/weekly results for the employees and management. These are discussed during management meetings so FCA can adjust production as needed. Many of the long time employees have probably worked several sections of this assembly line and I would believe there are some employees who can work any section of this assembly line because sometimes things happen, people get injured or sick. FCA doesn't shut down the assembly line they have special employees who can fill in most any position as needed. Kudos to all these special employees, because without them we would all be driving aging vehicles. They keep our hearts happy!!

Not trying to identify you as a smart ass sir. I believe we are mixing apples with oranges. I believe USER (Surf2Snow1) understands where I'm coming from. His figure of 750 per day I believe is very realistic. That's 750 off the line in a 24 hour period, not 3 units. Only the factory knows how many units can be on the line at one time. USER (13086) comment of 47 trucks per hour is also very realistic.. It's all about understanding the written word. If 47 trucks per hour leave the line, that equates to 70.5 trucks leaving the line in 1.5 hours or 90 minutes. So on AVERAGE wouldn't that be about 93 minutes per unit from Frame to End of Line?

The importance of being correct in making assumptions contradicting someone on the inside who knows the answer.

Who cares.

I didn't think so but a lot of people tend to be sensitive anymore. I was trying to answer the questions they had, and most of which can be answered by reading thru the information posted here. All good with me sir!

Going off the numbers we put on the first page, they’ll be driving a new truck off the line every 1.5-2 minutes.

Alright.. getting back on topic.

93 minutes, or 8 hours.. neither one is going to happen if you have certain items added to your build like spary-in liner, or electric running boards. The truck then goes off site to have those items installed and the truck can be there for days or weeks. .. happened to plenty of folks with '21's.

All that said, my truck took exactly 7.5 weeks from order to dealership delivery--and i had a mopar spray-in bed liner in the build.

Don't know their process but got "in production" notice today and projected completion date of 10/16, so 1.5 or 8 hrs it still takes weeks to be actually complete
