Hello all,

Just installed amp power steps on my truck. A pain in the a**!! Well now I notice the pinch weld.. anybody got any tips on maybe hiding it? I found these and don't if they if they work, but they say they do. https://www.bushwacker.com/Truck-Trail-Armor-Rocker-Panel/2021/ram/2500

Do they really work to hide it or does anybody have another trick to hide it. 2021 Ram 2500 thanks, Bill

Yeah I thought they hid the pinch weld when they tucked up, but no they tuck behind the pinch weld. I was not expecting that. I think the oem power steps hide the pinch weld.

NP CJP for steeling my picture as long as you are using it for teaching. I know the OEM rock sliders hide the pinch weld. But you can't use them and the steps both. I tried, but just couldnt figure it out.
The Bushwakers should hide it, but will they interfere with the AMP steps that barely clear the pinch weld? And from what I can see, they dont line up on the ends with the factory black plastic trim on the bed side or front fender. They come up higher

That is what I thought about the bushwhackers. Thanks shellback.

I will probably just not worry about it, but still noticeable. Heck I even thought about running some vinyl tape along the pinch weld, to make it blend a little more. I do like the amp steps though.

Until I saw that close up pic, that's what I thought as well. The OEM hides the pinch weld, which is probably why it doesn't "tuck up" as well.

Similar to what rocky mentioned above:

Wonder what it would look like if a person had the Bed Liner sprayed at the same level matching the front & rear plastic trim pieces.
Maybe just having it black would camouflage the pinch weld a bit.

Instead of paint or undercoating, you could use the same method but with plastic dip. This way, if you don't like it you can just peel it off.
