Has anyone else been dealing with a stuck notification for the completely useless App Market? It showed up somewhere around a month ago, and I cannot find any way to get rid of it. I know that for some, going to the “Home” button and then back to CarPlay can clear it, but that does nothing for me. I have done the tune/volume hold for a reset, and also the hard reset which loses all my settings. This still did nothing. I have a case number with Connected Services, but they have been absolutely no help so far.
To get ahead of the “Why worry about it?” crowd, it is highly annoying as that notification blocks the song or channel listing which apparently I look at far more often than I had realized. Additionally, it seems that the system has overall become far more “glitchy” since whatever the last over-the-air update was that caused all of this in the first place. It seems that CarPlay is the least happy, as half the time it is slow to launch or just fails completely. At that point, I have to pull over and shut the truck down and open a door to get the system to reset. If I take it to a split screen, the bottom of the map is fuzzy, and will not allow me to select any of the needed buttons where that fuzzy area is.
Connected Services says that they don’t know what to do, and that I should just wait and hope that an update comes out that fixes it at some point. This is a wholly unacceptable answer. They also claim that this is not a widespread thing, but I wanted to verify that myself by reaching out to all of you fine folks. And just for good measure, I figure that @RamCares should be in on this conversation.
