I have had a lighting bolt show up on the dash upon start up and I have no fuel pedal. I was able to reset the throttle control sensor by hitting start, pushing pedal down, slowly lifting up and then stating truck. Didn’t work every time but eventually worked and I cancelled the tow truck. Did have to have it towed one time. Dealer Re flashed and it didN’t work. Now I was told I need a new pcm but.... they have no idea when I can get one and they really aren’t sure they are being made. No rental vehicles or dealer cars available. I only have 6000 miles. Any else have a similar problem, getting a little upset with this truck.

I get the lightning bolt every time I start my truck. I haven’t had an issue so I thought it was normal. Hope your situation gets resolved soon

I haven't had a problem like this, however, you might get more traction on this if it is posted in a different section though. This is posted in the Site News and Suggestions forum.

Not any more.

Folks, if you see posts that are blatantly in the wrong forum, please take a moment to report them. It would help us a lot.

you're unfortunately at the mercy of the dealer / mfg. it's total b.s., which is typical.

maybe reach out to @RamCares and get a report in. doubt it will help, but won't hurt.

Anybody else confirm or deny getting the lightning bolt for a second or two on startup?

I have the small color display in my gauge cluster and the lightning bolt is red and shows up next to the odometer in the middle bottom.

When I was stranded in Moab and looked all over in the book and must have missed it. Sounds like no one has had the problem so far and ram cares is involved. This is my fifth ram and 3rd diesel. Only replaced a turbo on my 2007 otherwise I have had no issues. I hope this is isolated and I didn’t get a lemon. In the mean time they have no rental vehicles or dealer vehicles due to shortages. I am using my 67 mustang as my daily driver. Not confident it will be fixed any time soon.

I have an 07 3500 6.7 and have had problems with the PCM. Going down the road the lightening bolt comes on and flashes. Then the Check engine light comes on and the truck stops. Will not start and ends up being towed. This has happened 5 times in the last year. The PCM looses its VIN and has to be sent in for repair. We have no idea what is happening. TThinking of selling it and purchasing an 08 but don't know if I will be any better off.
