Looking to purchase my first Ram. Looking at the 3500 SRW but have a question about the information on the website. The truck will be used to tow a 12,000 lb 5th Wheel and I know all the numbers are there to support the trailer with one possible exception. Payload. When using the website and choosing the tow capacity and selecting my vehicle I put in the following filters to see what type of configuration:
1. Diesel HO
2. Aisin transmission
3. Megacab 6'4" box
4. Drive 4x4
5. Under Axle if offers two: 3.73 and premium. Not sure what premium represents. It doesn't seem to be DRW because when the build option is offered all the other filters are populated in the build, but still only 3.73 axle ratio and 12,300 GVWR. I'm looking at the Limited trim and it shows 4940 for payload when properly configured.

With the above options, the build still offers the option for DRW, so my question is what is the PREMIUM axle?

Appreciate any insight.

A limited with 4940# payload is a dually, my limited DRW has a 5003 payload, a SRW limited will be around 3500-4000# payload

If you pick "premium" axle ratio, it will push to 4.10 and force a selection of either Hemi or a Cummins dually.

My 3500 SRW CCLB HO Limited payload is 3707lbs.

2022 3500 megacab limited HO srw, no factory air or sunroof. For what it's worth, my toyhauler is around 19k loaded. Max tow on the truck is 23k.

My service writer has the exact truck you spec'd out, and his payload is 3800 pounds

My 22 3500 Laramie LB SRW says 4026 lb payload on the door. With bed liner, bed cover, full fuel, full def, family of 4, and all our stuff the truck weighs 9400 lb leaving my usable payload at 2900 lb.
