So I have a 22 3500 srw short bed Ram Box with rear auto level air ride. I recently purchased a fifth wheel camper that is just a little over the "payload capacity" of my truck. With the trailer hooked up it gives me a air ride adjustment limited to over loaded issue. Switching to a dually isn't an option at this point. I was thinking to add a leaf spring to each side to help with the weight, and upgrade the tires to load range f. Camper itself isn't over the total towing capacity of the truck even if camper is fully loaded to its technical capacity. Has anyone tried this by adding a leaf spring and it solved the minimal overload of the auto level air suspension?
