Picked up a 19 power wagon the other day and just noticed that I can push the parking brake all the way to the floor. It engages, but wondering what everyone else is experiencing.
It’s a pretty simple adjustment if you don’t want to leave your truck at the dealership for a few hours. I had to disconnect my to add my frame mounts for my camper.
In the first pic you just tighten the nut to give it more tension.

The cable adjustment is to equalize the pull to each side, don’t adjust it there. If it’s the same as the previous generations it’s adjusted with the star wheel at each of the parking brake shoes, but should also self adjust if you apply parking brake in reverse.
If the truck is new, the e-brake shoes should not be anywhere near worn, therefore no play to adjust with the star wheels unless they were never adjusted during initial assembly. I'd check the cable tensioner by the equalizer (post #3) first. Actually, I'd take it back tot the dealer first.
