Hey guys

Pretty new here creeped on the forums for a little bit. I've got a 2022 6.4 hemi 2500 and noticed the other day when I got back from working out of town that on my passenger side of the truck the paint is starting to break/chip.

Truck has 56k miles on it, I got it used last year in March with 46k on it I'm new to RAM trucks always been a GM / Chevy guy but came over to the dark side last year after looking nearly a year for a used 2500 truck with less then 60k miles on it. Couldn't find any Chevy or GMC in my price range with those miles so I test drive several RAMs and really liked them.

Not sure if there is much I can do except try to find some paint to match and go over where it's chipping?

Was any damage mentioned by the previous owner/dealership? I'd be pretty pissed off if I wasn't given that little nugget of info before I bought it. If it was repaired, you might be able to reach out to the previous owner to find out who did the work and see if they have a warranty on repairs there. Good luck. This is interesting so please come back and tell us what you find out.

No, nothing was mentioned, title is clean, I checked Carfax and everything else I could get my hand on prior to test driving the truck, walked it thoroughly on several visits to lot everything looked good and checked out (at the time).

I'm located about 150 miles from where I bought it and getting sent back out of state Monday for work for a week so other than a pissed off phone call Monday during my drive not really sure what else I'll be able to do other than take it to a body shop and see how ****ed I am on a potential repair.

I'd try to play nice initially on the phone call. Try to figure out who did the actual work so you can at least try to get some kind of warranty fix. Good luck. I feel for you man. You got handed a BS situation.
