This might not matter a hill o beans to you all, but back in the 70's we were running Yamaha TT500's when Amsoil came to our attention. These were old single cylinder, air cooled, carbureted, motorcycles.
All I know is when we put syn oil in them we had to unscrew idle screw to slow down the engine due to less friction. Been trying to use some of syn in all of my motors every since. Made a believer out of me!
