The pdf is pretty clear, freezing is one thing, but consistently getting below 0 is another thing.

No your reading it backwards.... 5w40 synthetic year round is the best bet unless you change the oil every spring/fall 10-30 in warm 5-40 cold.... i usually get almost a year on my oil so i run 5-40 year round
