Official 2025 Ram HD

After seeing the ugliness of body panels separating the headlight assemblies, the only thing we have left to hope for is that this is some sick, demented individual’s rendering, and not what they’re actually going to put in production:

Official 'real news' coming in 2025, for 2025 year model trucks? Nothing compelling so far...

I don't hate it, but why they didnt change the lower grille to match? I think it would be decent with all vertical slats.

Did we really need a bigger grill?!?! hahaha I mean, don't love or hate it. Maybe it'll grow on me

The grille isn't even larger, it's just slightly tweaked so they can fit, what I presume, is some sort of safety device on the front. Fenders appear to have the identical shape, bumper appears identical. Looks like literally just the headlights, lower grille surround, and grille.

They took the absolute worst gen GM, and said "let's run with this!". Even GM realized their mistake with the updated HD trucks.

Excited about the new ZF trans, but every day I'm more concerned that dodge is losing connection with their base.

I like the rebel grill a lot and the grill and headlight changes overall, but t's entirely subjective of course. Also obviously it's not a major change. same hood, fenders, etc. So the "grills are so big!" argument makes no sense; at least they're not any bigger than they've been since 2019.

What's got my attention is that radar on the front... first, what's it for? self-driving?! I had a Comma self-driving unit in my 1500 and it was AMAZING. Second, that location is gonna play havoc with some of the aftermarket bumpers, which is a shame. if they're not gonna deliver the full redesign that's long long over due, then at least you'd hope for compatibility with existing accessories. Guess us bolt on bumper folks are a super small market though

Ugh, subjective I know, but can we just stay with something good looking? Glad I plan on having my current truck for quite a while (knock on wood). Putting some chrome on the nose may help, just a little.

Im going off a rendering so can't see Im right but the corners of the grills and the area of the bumper that dips for the grill appears to be steeper. And even if the grill isn't measuring larger, it looks MUCH larger and pronounced, more important to me than actual size. The way the eye catches it is way more important and its just off in my opinion and this is coming from someone who doesn't mind the GM nose. Ill likely never buy a new Ram anyway so it doesn't really matter I guess, maybe it'll grow on me.

so a four and three quarter gen.
I always thought it was kind of weird the 2014’s were never considered a “gen 4.5” even though they changed the front suspension to from 4-link to 3-link/radius arm, and rear suspension on the 2500s from leaf spring to multilink coil spring. And added the Hemi 6.4 as an option. Pretty major mechanical changes.

We can call that update gen 4.25
