I tried to overhaul one last week. Just a valve body and low reverse clutch assembly due to a bad lr piston. No eta on any of the parts. Had a complete trans in 2 daysTruck was left at the dealer today. At 99768 miles of the 100k power train warranty lol.
Talked to the tech cool dude he pulled his laptop out pulled codes and said they will pull the Trans and it will be a rebuild or replace under warranty. So if that's the case then I'm probably out of a truck for a while.
There goes my plans for trips with the camper for a while.
Sadness.

I wouldn’t care if I were ONE mile until warranty was up…I’d make the dealer replace or repair. We pay way too much money for these trucks (a lot of that cost I believe is the warranty) to let them get off free on it.going into the shop for the first time for them to see about fixing it under warranty. i have less then 300 miles to 100k lol. if they dont fix it im just going to drop the coin and get a full rebuild done, more clutch's added, billet everything, all the jazz. already got it priced out at 5500 installed for the full build
The 3.6 in my 2018 wrangler is pretty anemic. I can’t imagine it in a full size 1500 truck. Like 2 girl cats trying to do the dirty, lots move of moving and not getting anywhereafter putting 1000 miles on this loaner, averaging 20 mpg. however if anyone has a ram 1500 with a non turbo 3.6L v6 i will make fun of you. havnt had my truck since july 3rd and its starting to hurt my soul. even my gf was laughing cause merging onto a highway its grasping at what ever ponies it can get under the hood and eventually get up to speed where she said my other truck doesnt even have to down shift and were over 80 lol.
i miss my truck![]()

Gotta say, I drove a brand new Wagoneer for a work rental last week and the interior on it is a bit nicer than our Ram trucks.
I REALLY liked the flat bottom steering wheel and most of the wheel layout. Did not care for the gear limit switch location but could get used to it.
That said, the center console was pretty annoying and the center mounted rotary just wasted space.
Not really a great spot to set my phone for viewing and it kept making some of the buttons engage. The wireless charger wouldn't charge my S9, it would blink blue and charge for maybe 30 seconds, then go red. Maybe the Otterbox commuter case, but it works in my truck (though I don't use it.) The UC5 started acting weird form the get-go. First it would pause my music if I tried to view the map screen. Then a few days later it would keep dropping the phone connection and flipping out AA wireless and kept forcing the wifi back on after I would kill AA and turn off my wifi and I couldn't figure out how to disable it. I finally just turned it off and had to use a cable to get any function out of it.
P.S. That Hurrycane scoots pretty good in this thing. You would never know you're driving a straight 6 turbo. There is literally no lag.

so what i have been told is i get 2 years 24000 mile warranty on anything replaced. since its the entire trans, thats good. however 24000 miles is like 8 months if that for me lol. This loaner ive put 4k on and the other loaner i put 2500 on haha.Yes, it does suck. But thank God you we're still under warranty. Make sure when it's all done that they start the new transmission warranty that day - in writing.
