The 2019+ 2500 and 3500 hitches have different part numbers. Does anyone know what the difference is? Is it related to the 2500 coil vs 3500 leaf spring suspensions?

If anyone is wondering it's about a 3.5 hour job to change the hitch. Biggest pain is having to lift the bed about 1.5" to get clearance to pull the old hitch off the frame. The pin holes in the original receiver on my truck were worn oval from using a pin with an angled end. This made for a lot of slop which made the holes wear even more.

Why not just have it welded and redrilled?

Big reason is I found a good deal on an OE hitch that was never used to tow. It's in mint shape. Based on the pain in the butt factor in lifting the bed, welding and drilling will definitely be on the table if I have the same issue down the road! Thanks for the suggestion.
