Other then a little less power no updates. Anyone else expecting more?

Was hoping for the Delmonico red, the new red is sharp though, better choice of 18inch aluminum wheels. Excited for the Cummins and ZF. Front end styling is pretty cool.

Since I've only had mine for 15 months I'm fine with the way things are in terms of appearance, etc. What has value to me are updates to existing vehicles that improve reliability.

I like it. I'm not SUPER STOKED. But I like it. My plan is to AEV PXL one for overloading - which includes a possible slide in Camper. I also need to do truck stuff like hauling stuff for the yard and also towing my cars around. Not perfect, but good enough.

Pros:
-I like the engine and the transmission pairing. I'm not expecting to win stoplight drags, but it's always nice to have some pep in your step.
-14.4 inch screen - once I tested out the one in the 1500s I feel like everything else is small
-Column shifter. I love it that they listened. Porsche famously dropped their pull out handles from the 911 and many people hate it. They as I like the grab handles - so it's on their GT3RS and S/T and those feel right. Just like a column shifter on a truck. It just feels right.
-I like the headlights. It looks modern but still looks like a RAM.
-The grille for everything BUT the Rebel and PW.

Cons:
-Something that @AnthonyRI mentioned - you can't get air suspension on 3500s unless. you go dually. I was originally going to get a 3500 since the weak payload ratings for 2500s would be eaten up with a PXL conversion and a slide in camper. The air helps with leveling once camper is on. So I feel like this is a miss if you can't order it without the dually.
-The PW and Rebel Grille. It's like looking at a pretty girl with completely messed up face tattoos. You wonder how they could mess a pretty face up. They did.
-Old interior. Was it that hard to do massaging seats, telescoping steering wheel, HUD like very other HD truck now? I mean, they have it for the 1500. How hard is it to do for the HD?
-Cab size. It's criminal that HD rear seats are less spacious than 1500s. Makes no sense in any way. I'm getting a megacab just for this
-Would it kill them to put lockers on something other than a Rebel or PW? The PXL will handle the off-road well, but I was hoping the Rebel wouldn't look so ass in the front and that it would have a larger cab- that way I could PXL a Rebel and at least have a rear locker. I guess I can just switch out the grille as I have heard they are interchangeable.
-Payload. I know the 2500 has coil springs, but they could have figured out a way to add a few hundred pounds? The increased GVWR may be offset with more base equipment.
-Tailights - step back from previous gen
-Better V8. I know I should be happy they keep a Hemi... but if you're gonna do it.. do it big. MORE POWER.

On the fence:
-Passenger screen. Not sure my wife really cares about that. She is so short she probably will refuse to ride in the truck unless absolutely necessary.
-2.4Kw Power Inverter in bed. I'm planning to do a dual battery system anyway for my build out... so doesn't matter much to me. Depends on how its implemented I guess.
-Price. Still expensive for a truck.

Didn't really care. Nothing they did was going to get me out of my 75A Power Wagon. Prices are nuts. Getting more intrusive with the drowsy driver monitoring tech. I doubt I ever buy a new one.

As far as the Power Wagon updates are concerned, there is nothing exciting enough to make me cancel my 24 Power Wagon order. With the other trim models and Cummins offerings, I don't have an opinion as I am not currently shopping in that market segment.

Even though the 2025 3500 Ram HD ZF 8 speed has a 0.64:1 final drive versus our 2024 3500 Ram HD and 2016 Ram 2500 HD 0.63:1 and 0.625:1 with 6 speeds, I still prefer the 4:10-1 rear axle ratio of our 2016. Wish our 2024 had 4:10-1 versus 3.73-1. We live within the Rockies and steep mountain grade towing is what we use the trucks for. 3.42-1 is for the flatlands. We have a 2014 2500 Ram HD with 3.42-1, but the final drive is 0.74:1 with the G56 versus 0.64:1.

Yea, pretty much agree with what others have said in regards to the 2025 Power Wagon. Nothing about the new truck has me interested in getting rid of my current PW. It's been the best truck I have ever owned.

Maybe in a couple years we finally will see:

Larger Crew Cab from 1500s (pano sunroof)
More Power in HEMI V8 (or other engine option)
Standard 35" or 37" tires
More armor/bumper options

Those are some of the things that what would make me trade in for a new Power Wagon.

Sounds about right. I simply have no choice, other then swap in a new engine to my 2018 and keep driving a 200K+ vehicle. I feel this is a little like my 2018, the very next model year, updated interior, synthetic line, front 35" tire clearance improved, and the terrible transmission was gone........If 2026 or 2027 seems some cool upgrades

It helps to be able to write these things off for business. If I did not have 2 businesses, I would still drive an expensive of vehicle, but would we own 2? Maybe not. Unfortunately I like Heavy Duty vehicles, and that is not cheap. Looking like maybe 72 K for my new Power Wagon. Our Grenadier was close to 90K with a bunch of add ones like rack, awning and such. If they ever make a triple locked, solid front axle, heavy duty SUV or pick up with a factory winch for 50K I am all in :D

With the gear splits in the ZF, the 3.42 makes the most sense. Running empty in top gear will save fuel. If you're towing heavy, you drop a gear or two as needed anyway.

On our 2014 Ram 2500 4x4 and 2016 Ram 2500 PW 4x4 HD's both run 3PMSF (winter rated) 35's (34.8") tires. Right after purchasing our Ram 2024 3500 4x4 in October 2024 we traded in the OEM Firestone Transforce HT tires for Toyo Open Country C/T's 3PMSF rated. Thought about upsizing to 35's from the 33's, but not with the 3.73-1. I also ran the gear charts before staying with the 275 70R18 size. If it had an option for the 4.10-1 axle gear ratio with a SRW long bed I would have gone larger. We average 250 inches of snow annually at our 8,200 feet elevation. Over 400 inches during the last couple of seasons just up our rural road at 11,000 feet on a flat top mountain. Rather have taller tires to keep from high centering with the truck in deep snow, but still keep the RPM's near what it was designed for with the 33's (33.4"). It's not for looks, but for function. Would rather have a choice of gear ratio than 3.42-1 for the 2025.

We've had two 4x4 late model vehicles in our family regeared last year in Woodland Park, Colorado due to the lack of power at these higher altitudes. Not cheap.

So, how do we feel about the new lights? I think I hate the new grille with the Hitler stache sensor.

I’m on the fence whether or not I want to keep trying to find the right deal on a ‘24 lunar, or wait to build a ‘25 now that ceramic grey is a standard color. The ‘25 has some nice minor changes, but visually it hasn’t grown on me yet. Plus more emissions on the HEMI reducing the power, albeit slightly.

On our 2024 Ram HO Cummins block there's not this new green unit (middle of photo) that's on the 2025 Ram HO Cummins. OTA software updates on the Cummins engine emissions at anytime when required. I feel like the 1978 and 1998 pickup trucks that I purchased new and still own today wouldn't be allowed to be running if a company had their access to reducing the engine emissions on it at anytime without my say.

Its super nice not having to re-gear. We live in snow country, retiring in Colorado at just under 11K. I am a fan of 35s as well. Never been not able to get out with both lockers and 35s. The newer Power Wagons clear the front tires better I believe, and the ZF transmission with the 4:10s should be amazing. We have the ZF in our Grenadier, with, ding ding, 4:10s and it is OUTSTANDING off road. We run the same 35x17x12.50 HD Terrains on both our 2018 PW and 2024 Grenadier. Who would have thunk it? Dodge and a Billionaires wet dream having the same set up? :D What you removing snow with? I ordered a Case 321F new. Ski areas love them, and I ordered twin lockers and hi flow. Planning on running a Summit Snow Blower I think, but I really need to figure out the right sectional snow plow for off road.

Every year they pack more nonsense/garbage in them, I will never buy a new truck again.

Sigh, not sure anyone is excited. Hopefully those new lights the size of dimes light the world up
