I know this has been beaten like a dead horse but I recently bought a 2022 ram 2500 6.7. It is my daily driver (14 miles round trip to work mix of highway and city) and used for towing occasionally. It went into active regen the other day (roughly 50% on the dpf gauge) and after getting home from work when I put it into park the gauge was reading under 25%. I know that you’re supposed to drive it on the highway or tow with it but it seemed odd after driving through the city that the gauge went down. Is this normal? Is a sensor going out? Am I just overly paranoid about this whole regen thing?

Dealing with this now on my 22 with 15k miles. I took it to my buddy who has a Mopar Diagnostic Pod and he was able to clear the code then initiate a manual regen. Took my DPF gauge from 100% down to about 20%. Bandaid for now but they also ordered a new DPF. From what it sounded like, once the DPF gets about 7g/L it basically needs to be replaced. Really not the coolest thing about these trucks. And this really really makes me think about EGR/DPF delete.

I have a question though: does anyone know how or if you can perform a manual regen without a scan tool/Pod?

Active regen should take the gauge all the way to 0%, are you sure it finished? Or did it just pause from being out in park?
