No diesel for Power Wagon, but why not the Hellcat engine?

Very different. TRX uses BW 48-13 full time active. All HD Rams, including power wagon, use either BW 44-46 (electronic shift) or BW 44-47 (manual shift)- both part time.

Or for HO trucks, the BW 44-48 part-time with electric shift, 44-49 part-time manual shift.
 
Ram definitely should have built the TRX on the PowerWagon instead of that crappy short box 1500. Or at least come out with a TRX option package for the PW. My PW would be traded in yesterday.

The thought of this ... i'd be hard pressed not to trade in my '22 for that.

Looks like the 48-13 has the same low range ratio as the 44-4* series in the HD trucks (2.64), but it’s a clutched transfer case

I like the 6.4 in my truck, more power (especially forced induction to the power loss of NA at altitude) would be nice at times, but I wouldn’t be willing to pay the 50K or so premium I’m sure the hellcat motor would add.
The new Hurricane twin turbo inline 6 has my attention though.
I also like the durability factor of the 6.4 being a NA motor not tuned to its limits (compare to the 392 it has lower compression ratio, takes regular gas…it’s designed to just work)

You know what's funny is I typed that before I drove a TRX. I ended up trading the PowerWagon for my wife's Jeep 392 and ordered a TRX. I'll miss the longer box and especially the Ram Boxes but it's a hell of a truck.
 
There's a dude on one of the Facebook groups that has done a Hellcat engine swap in his Power Wagon.
