No alarm system

Window smashed out and everything taken from my vehicle while visiting our zoo yesterday, called 911 two times to report and nobody answered or called back. Lol this country is ****.

Glad to know a 2019 50k truck doesn't even come with an alarm anymore! You can smash a window, unlock the door by hand and nothing will happen.



Does anyone know if there's a way to activate it or an aftermarket kit they suggest?

Compustar or Viper, cant go wrong, But honestly, if nobody did anything when the glass smashed, i doubt a beeping alarm was going to stop them.

I haven't trusted auto alarms in a long time. In my neighborhood, car alarms go off all day and night here, I have been sitting on my front porch when some of them go off and no one around to bother the vehicles or shut them off. I guess most people don't know how to protect their remotes from being bumped or let their children play with them. No one pays any attention to the annoying horn beeping anymore even in shopping centers. I personally get tired of hearing them and don't even turn my head any more to look. If you have window film installed it makes it tougher for the burglars to break the glass. A few years ago in the middle of the night while sleeping, I was awakened by someone beating multiple times on something outside. I gut up and went out to find some glass damage but window was still intact, they didn't make it inside. This is another reason I tint my windows as it adds another layer of safety.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I saw somewhere on this forum a while back where someone added some glass break censors to his vehicle to help with this type of problem.
