No 6.4 Laramie and above.

I too considered a 7.3 Ford, but they are too proud and unwilling to negotiate a deal. I ended up with a 6.4 Laramie for $15K less than their 7.3 XLT
I wonder how well the 6.4 would do with a 15k toy hauler in the Colorado mountains? 429 torque versus 475 @ around the same RPM.

I was a bit surprised when I towed a 10k bumper pull behind my 5.7 1500 (stupid new diesel broke again) in the mountains. The truck was way too light but the engine did better than I expected. Engine oil temps were pretty high though.

Not too sure a 2,500 lb heavier dually truck with a 5,000 heavier trailer with a engine that isn't much bigger would be that great. I'm just not going to deal with the emissions issues I'm having on my '22 Cummins. The '18 was great, the '22 is such a POS I'm now very leery of any new diesel. DPF fault and you're stranded. Two different dealers and not fixed yet.

There are some guys on here pulling some serious weight with their 6.4's for sure, but if you are doing a lot of mountain pulling, the Cummins is best. If I ever go back to a diesel again, it would probably be a 2018 with a G56
