So my truck arrived with my ordered night edition. To quote my wife. “it needs a little bling or something.” Gloss black interior accents and gloss grill yet the wheels are basically flat. I’m considering painting them gloss or perhaps a clear coat. Anybody do this?

Not sure where you live but my plan is to rock those in the winter, scamforce tires and all and run a nice wheel/tire combo for summer.

I say this because it sounds like you have the green light to get a new set of wheels!!!

Oh the light is green but I've spent so much money I was hoping to avoid.......I'm in TX so no need to worry about salt, etc. from winter driving. I fretting for weeks over the color of my truck before ordering, I can't imagine sorting through hundreds of wheels. :)

Sounds like you could list your wheels and tires for a fair amount and recoup some cost. I hear yah on the spending. Someone said recently that we are blessed to be in the position we are to buy and have new trucks. I concur.

Yes I already screwed up and mounted 35's. I should have ordered a combo set and listed mine mounted. I was considering listing them and see if I can get rid of them. Not sure what they would be worth wheels and tires "unmounted"

Never seen any glossy powder coating? Honestly the best plan I have right now it to use Dupli wheel paint in gloss black. I'll hit them with a scuff pad and see how it turns out.

Call a local powder coater. They can do gloss black easily. You'll want to get on the waiting list, then take the wheels in to him a day prior. Many powder shops have a tire machine to break the tires down for the job. That would minimize your turn around time. Expect a week without the wheels, but a quality private PC shop would do a better job than the factory wheels have on them.

No problem for glossy powder coating, I work for a division of Thomarios which main business is paint and powdercoat.

Not sure what the cost to powder coat is but if it’s close to the cost of a new rim it might be worth buying a new set of rims and tires and sell the factory wheel combo.

Those wheels market at about $800-$1,000. Same as the polished ones (same style) in my sig picture. Find someone to trade with. I bet there's a Bro out there sipping a Monster Energy in a flat bill hat looking at his polished 20s wishing they were the black ones.

here is what I did with my midnight edition. 6" lift, 37" wheels. still adding mods but love this truck!!

Where you at in TX? If you consider selling I’m open to buying for the right price. I’m in Round Rock (North Austin area).

Actually scratch that, forgot those were 20s and I just bought new tires.
