I bought a 2026 2500 Laramie Diesel. I just got a recall stating the Trailer module has issues. I called to get an appointment, and they said they do not have the parts yet. I asked if its safe to pull a trailer. They said, they couldn't say. Does anyone know what's going on? How does one buy a $100,000.00 truck and not be able to haul and have no information on when it can be fixed.

I have a '25 with the same recall, but as of now my lights work fine and I will pull the 5TH wheel without reservation. My guess if you are going to have issues, you are already having them.

Our invite still stands for you as well, @jetlag if you decide to pay your dealership a visit.

I have this same towing module recall on my '26 2500 6.4.
If you have actually had this recall done, please tell me how long it took, and what the process was.
I'm on a snowbird trip, need to pull my trailer to another location soon, and the local dealer isn't following through, I don't even know if they have the part, and they want me to drive 40 miles one-way to an appointment.
Also, I have a lot of equipment in the rear seat and the box, and I'd like to find out what, if anything, needs to be removed so they can do the job.
Any information appreciated,
Thanks!!!!

I had issues with my trailer brakes and lights. You get a warning on the dash I believe it says trailer system fault see dealer something along those lines. I cleared default with a scan tool at a friend shop. Warning didn’t come back for another 2000 miles. Cleared the code hasn’t come back again. I did take it into the dealer and they said they couldn’t find an issue. This was before the recall came out. The first time there was a fault you couldn’t adjust the Trailer gain up or down, the second time there was a fault when you squeezed the trailer brake controller, Nothing happened. Both times the trailer breaks actuated, but the lights didn’t work correctly. Still waiting on the recall to be done, but I haven’t had any issues. Just under 14,000 miles on the truck now most of what which are towing.
