Just picked up my new 2021 Ram 3500 dually with a Cummins HO. Love the truck, however, only 101 miles on the odometer and less than 24 hours old it shut down on me. It was towed to the dealership and they are saying its a fuel issue but can’t find the real issue yet. I thought the 2021 model they fixed the fuel pump issue. Any 2021 guys or gals out here have this issue? Or point me to the thread where people are talking about this. I did look before I posted didn’t wanna break the rules being a newbie. Thanks

Welcome! hopefully nothing major. I had a coolant leak right away on mine it was a nicked O ring. Dealership fixed it right away,

Bummer, have 4000 miles on my 2020 3500 dually with HO no problems ( knock on wood ). Like the others say it is probably a minor issue.

Welcome to HDRams!

2021 has the new CP-ISB21S3 (new version of the CP3) so if it is a fuel issue that took out the pump (unlikely) it's just the pump and not the whole fuel system.

As said, probably something simple. If the dealer has a decent tech or two, should be a quick fix.

Follow up! I picked the truck up today, all fixed. Technician said the fuel “float” in the tank was stuck in the up position. Therefore showing full. Well you guessed it I ran out of fuel. They fixed the issue, put some fuel in there and boom running again. I feel stupid but really wasn’t my fault.

Wow! What a weird way to ruin your new truck experience.

Glad its sorted out and congrats on that fine looking dually!!
