I got an over the air update on my 2019 Longhorn today and I no longer get text or call notification on my Bluetooth. Worked great before the update. I contacted uconnect and all the cold advise was to re pair of the phone. I had already done that as my first reaction to the problem but I did it again. Still doesn’t work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that! I have heard something on one to the Ram forums that sometimes Updates may take up to 12 or 24 hours to complete the install of an update.. I hope it straightens up by tomorrow.. I don't want them F***ing with mine, I don't have any issues as of yet ! ! ! ! ! !

I got the pop up late yesterday evening as I was backing into the driveway. It offered choices of do it now or schedule for later date. I hit the do it now and thought it would take forever so I turned the truck off and went inside. When I started this morning I got another pop that said it was complete. Must have done it remotely overnight without the truck running. I didn’t use any functions other than the radio which was fine. The back up camera was clear and awesome. No issues that I immediately saw. I’ll use the text and phone on the way home to test functionality.

Thanks 1 Fasthemi . I took my truck for a ride today and it worked fine, I believe you were right. Only problem now is it is very loud, but it works and I can live with that.

Got the massage Saturday evening did it’s thing no issues yesterday only thing volume on google maps had to be raised

You guys are so lucky. I'm still stuck on version 18.45.40. Apparently, due to the "application level" of my radio, I'm not due for an upgrade just yet. I wish there was a way to force the upgrade by downloading to a USB drive.

I'll stop whining now....

Go here: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/search.html put in your truck and see if you qualify for the W33 Recall. That'll update you to a firmware build from January 2020. I was stuck at 18.45.40, but the recall brought me up to 20.04.19 and so far everything is improved over my old version and rock solid, no complaints so far.

Thanks @g00fy !! No joy however! The only one on there is a recall for the W24...which I believe is the bed step thing. I wonder why it is taking so long to get the update?

Depending on how friendly your dealer is, you should be able to just go to the dealer and ask them to manually install an update. I would find a complaint though first, so your request has more leverage, IIRC the speed limit warning always reset to 15 when the truck was turned off and back on which i found very annoying, maybe you can use that as your complaint.

Ok- I am an old fart and I cannot figure out how to get to the screen that shows what software version I currently have. Can someone please give me some “user friendly” directions? I have the Uconnect 12” Thanks in advance!

At the bottom of the radio, you should have a series of icons that are spaced evenly next to each other. Press the far left and far right icon simultaneously until the screen changes. Just look in the menu items at that point. I don't have the screen in front of me, so I can't remember the actual nomenclature. The software version should be located about in the middle of that info screen.

Thank you very much!

My system firmware hasn't changed from 19.43.1a since the day I got it.

That said, everything works so maybe that's a good thing?

If it does everything you need/want it to do, and you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

I ended up stopping by the dealership near me and the service folks upgraded it to the latest firmware. No discernible difference as far as I can tell in the audio, but my hearing is shot from 26 years punching holes in the oceans.

Poking around the 5th gen Uconnect thread, I think the version I have is the latest for the hardware version installed in the truck.
