Ordered a brand new 2500 through Enterprise fleet service we decided to try. Truck has been at dealer for a few weeks. They had to fix a park sensor that was not working. Now they say a battery was testing weak, but they can't figure out how to 'bill' it out and make sure warranty remains good. I went to actually put my eyes on the truck yesterday and the fleet person on site says they had it back to get cleaned up. I tell him I want to look at it and make sure the options are correct as ordered and when we get to the truck, wow. How does this happen? I don't have as many pictures of the outside, but it is filthy. Likely easier to clean than the interior. I did not open the hood, but I don't expect them to be able to get this truck into like new condition. Thoughts?

Wow that was definitely caught in a dust storm with the window(s) down! The only way that could happen!

HARD PASS! That is the dirt you can "see". What you can't see is what will haunt you for the trucks lifetime, which I would imagine would be short.

Gotta be where they are being stored prior to transport. A friends ordered 25 came in last week and we thought that one was filthy for a new truck but no wheres near the dirt that one has.
What is the dealer saying about clean up?

Watching Ram reviews on YouTube lately and I'm amazed at how dirty these new vehicles are not only from dust and dirt that could have possibly blown around , but also from the people who have been in them. I wonder if this is from a lot in Mexico where they are stored prior to transport? No way I would accept a new vehicle that is in that condition even if they clean it. I paid for new and that to me is no longer new.

I am going back today to talk to them. Yesterday, the fleet guy just said it was staged to be cleaned up. He told me that before I even saw it and I never dreamed it would look like it does. I was so frustrated and mad that I was very respectful and left so I could think and not over react. I plan to talk to the manager or owner this morning.

I wonder if this is a result of rushing to trucks across the border before tariffs and staging them somewhere.

Someone else reported the other day that they were refusing delivery of their 25 because it showed up at the dealer like that. I’m guessing they got caught in a dust storm during loading or unloading.

I test drove a 3500 this week and the sales guy put it through cleanup before I drove it but I saw it the day before and it was filthy with some dirt/dust all over the inside and out. That was the same story with all the other 2025s.

Honestly most of the 2025's were like that, because when they store them at the storage yard in Mexico, they leave the windows down. If your dealer has a good detailer you wouldn't even be able to tell after pickup.
If you look at a lot of the Youtube reviews you'll see similar levels of dirt.
When I arrived the detailer took great care of everything.

Wildout:
Stored with "they leave the windows down" is this a to much heat build up in a new interior situation?

Or poor decision making?! Rail cars are “mostly enclosed” right? So, not too much should happen during travel.

If folks want to accept that their $60-$100k trucks are sitting in excessively dusty conditions have at it. I know my ‘21 didn’t look anything like that coming off the transport truck.

After camping in a rather nasty windstorm while at Rockhound State Park in southern New Mexico a few weeks ago, the bed (under Retrax cover), exterior and engine compartment of my truck looked just like your pics! Spent some time at the car wash! The interior was covered in dirt too, but not nearly as bad as yours. Sure looks like a combination of open (cracked) window and a similar bunch of wind & dirt! Nothing that can't be cleaned up I'd think. I took a video, but it's too large to upload. Try this dropbox link to see the sand storm! Visibility was less than 100 feet at times & winds gusting to 75 mph.
