New here and thanks for having me. This is my 2019 5500 company truck. Here to learn more about the Ram HD trucks and keep an eye out for common problems. The company does not buy new things very often so I'll be in this truck for many years and I want to keep it in great shape. Has anyone hooked up the wig wag lights? Looking to do that real soon.

You must be a company guy in good standing if they don‘t buy new vehicles very often but they gave it to you when they did... good for you. It says lot about you that it’s not your truck but you’re on here wanting to keep know what to do to keep it in good shape. Sounds like the company made the right decision giving it to you. Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forums. Awesome looking rig.

Very kind words and thank you. My last truck was a 2001 F-450 that looks, runs and drives better now then when I started 3 years ago. Spent several hours on my time getting it to that point. I'm honored to have the truck I have now and I know it will be the only one I get so I want to keep it as nice as I can.

Are you using a relay or just a rifle switch?
The way the vsim is you dont need relays just need to put wires 12 and 14 on the brown connector to a dpst switch then ground the wire off the switch

Installed mine today but I seem to be having an issue with the yellow/ blue wire with grounding all the time. In park sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I can jump a ground wire to it and they work every time, go back to the VSIM ground wire when in park and it may or may not work. Seems like the yellow/ blue wire isn't giving me a consistent ground when in park.

What yellow/blue wire? Which pin is that one?

it should be
rear is beige with brown tracer
Front is brown with orange tracer

That is the two that control the front and rear wig wag. The yellow with blue tracer comes off the grey upfitter connector that is ground only when the transmission is in park. Will have to look to remember the pin number. I'm working on a 2019.

Try pin 13 on the brown harness dark green and white. Its the parking brake ground so you would have to use the parking brake to enable them....
