Hey All,

After years being loyal to FoMoCo, I'm a RAM Convert. Just ordered a 2021 Laramie 3500 with the 6.7 HO Cummins. Dealer says about 10 weeks till I see it.

Congrats and welcome. What made you make the jump to FCA RAM?

We bought a bigger 5th wheel RV and the pin weight was more than my F250 could handle safely, so we knew we needed a One-ton, but not a dually. The Cummins was a selling point and that 12" Tesla screen sure helps. I called some local Ford shops and with Covid and all, I couldn't get a straight answer on getting F350 and the lots are bare these days. The local RAM shop was cool with me spec-ordering a truck with everything I wanted.... and most importantly, none of the extra foo-foo crap I didnt want. The options you see in my Sig are the only things I really needed and ended up being the only options on the order.

I have a bud that has an older 5.9 Cummins 3500 and we hauled some stuff with it. We were technically overweight with the trailer and the load, but that truck took mountain passes like it was running bare naked empty.

Looks like you got the right stuff to tow heavy. Congrats again.

Same here. Drove Fords for 20 years until I had the second one in a row need major repairs by 150k mi. Lost an entire holiday weekend tearing a motor apart. Reluctantly test drove a new style 1500 last year and was hooked within 2 blocks. Just upgraded to 2500 Cummins and loving it.

First diesel was a 6.4 ford and that turned me off, couldnt be happier with my big girl.
