What is a good size tire for this truck ?
Tire size is a deep subject.... First what type of terrain will you be driving.... A/T vs R/T vs MT tires.... What lift does your truck have.... What offset are the present wheels... 35" is a really good stopping point for so many reasons especially gear ratio.... I don't know if your power wagon has the 411 gears...if you're planning to regear to 5.++ Then you you might like the look of 37"... If your not trail running this rig (IMHO). Stop at 35s... Presently I have 33.4" tires.... And I am on rough forest roads to trails I am familiar with... I have a dedicated wheeler on 35s for the serious trails... A Titan swapped Xterra... Road noise and mpg are also things to think about and lastly if you need three peaks snow rating....I have the Falken wild peak a/t on my Ram and I have run KO3 AND KM3 and Toyo open Road R/T on my RedX DDOR...

The weight rating of the tire is important as well ... Are you hauling heavy stuff?

This is good information to start with and all questions I need to answer. As far as I can tell this is the stock lift and I think 35s would be sufficient. Live in central Virginia so all of my off roading would be fire road/ rocky stuff with some mud areas depending on rainfall etc . It will also neeed to pull my motorcycle trailer 8K Max which it should do just fine. So a tire that is good for both would be best. Mostly road and some off road trail stuff. I don’t want to lift it any higher due to towing so tires would have to fit current specs. Thanks again for the info.

35s are a good size and not have to change anything.
I put 35s on stock rims on my PW at 200 miles. Currently have 93K miles on it.

No issues at all. Pulled a 8500 lb RV with no issues.

YT has lots of vids on the tires you're interested in... BFG and Toyo and Falken are reputable... As are many more.... Any local Discount tire should be able to talk you through it and verify the width of the tire fitting... There is a small chance you will need 0 offset wheels so you're not rubbing .. they will know..happy trails

Not that you mentioned this but 18" rims IMHO are better than 17" for this rig only because of how close the 17s come to the brake calipers ... I like having more tire and less rim because I air down... 20" rims would be good for 37"+ tires... IMO...since you're not truly off roading 20s from a Laramie would look
