I've been a Toyota Tundra owner for the last 12 years and was looking to buy the all new TRD Pro model. Fortunately, the local Toyota dealerships are price gouging and I didn't buy one. I wasn't gonna pay 7500 over MSRP for any vehicle. Supply issues or not. I've had several Nissans, a few Toyotas, Chevrolets, GMC's, and a 69 Jeepster Commando, but never a Dodge/Ram truck. I owned a Dodge Polara for a while that my grandfather purchased new in '68, but it wasn't a daily driver. When the prices got crazy I started looking for a deal and realized Ram trucks have came a long way since I last looked.
In my opinion, the inside materials and design features of Ram trucks are on par with or exceed the competitors. I thought the tall 12 inch screen was a little weird since most manufacturers are wider than taller, but found that it improves ergonomics once I was able to sit in one. After hours of research and visiting dealerships I found Zach's post, from Granger Motors here on the HDRams forum where custom order trucks are sold at 4% below invoice. With build options slowly becoming unavailable, and supply being limited, I decided to stop looking and order a Power Wagon from Granger. I was able to get everything I wanted except the Safety Package due to the chip shortage.
I'm looking forward to owning my first Ram truck, albeit it could be 9 months or more away, and learning from the folks here on HDRams.
