I just purchased new to me 22 ram 6.4 ram 2500. Once i got he i got home. I called and asked what oil they used when they serviced it. They said they used mobil 1 0w40. In my searching it says that mobil 1 doesn't make a oil that meets our specifications. Just wondering what.you guys would do.

My dad and I have run Mobile 1 full synthetic for as long as I can remember. If my count is correct, over the last 25 years or so in I think 11 different vehicles. 3 Ford trucks, 2 rams, 1 honda, 2 acuras, 2 toyotas, 1 chevy and not one internal engine component failure. The F150 I had was 15 years old. My dad’s Acura TL had 340,000 miles on it and was 17 years old when he sold it to another employee at his company. The guy still drives the car and it has over 400k on it now!!! I have full confidence in Mobile 1 at a 5000 mile change interval and regular maintenance, even if it doesnt meet Ram’s spec.
