Hey guys, I’m new here. Was a Chrysler tech from 2005-2011. 2017 Cummins 6spd and 2019 power wagon. I can connect my AlfaObd to all the modules, but when I try and run active diagnostics on anything I get this message I’ve attached. I can read all the info on both my trucks, but like I said the active diagnostics will not work. Anybody run into this ? Thanks. Hopefully I can be of help in the future.

Most people get theirs from here.

Just received the KAOdTECH bypass cable. Trying to locate the sgw module, the instructions say one white and white green connector, all I can find is the 2 green connectors under the kick plate ( in the instructions. On the 2019 2500s are the bypass connectors behind the gauge cluster? Anyone else run into this? Instructions suck and it’s been a long week

I’m really having a hard time… identified the black and white behind the can bus connectors. Plug everything in, now I’m not able to connect to anything . Without the cable installed, I can connect to engine module and read codes. Without SGW bypass cable installed , can’t connect to anything. Anyone experience this?

Look at the first post.

And pull the headlight switch bezel to see the CAN-C and CAN-IHS blocks better.

Make sure you're connecting OEM OBD into the bypass cable, then your reader to the bypass.

BrutalHO I owe you a case of beer. Just need to figure out how to get it there. My issue was my on my kaodtech, I read the instructions to as black connector on the bypass cable on the black can bus, and white connector to white can bus, but it’s the reverse. Thanks again

His instructions and labeling and reversed connector colors just flat out suck. We have so many posts here for the same thing. For the KOAdTECH cable it's the wire colors that matter. Glad you got it going.
