Hello. I am a new member in this group. I have a question about my 2022 Ram 2500 6.4L. Does the truck need to stay running for operation of the rear bed power inverter?

If you turn off the truck does the power cut out?

Welcome! Sorry I can't answer your question, I don't have an inverter in my truck. Hopefully, someone can answer that for you. Post up some pictures of your truck when you get a chance; we like pictures around here.

On my '22 2500 the 115v outlet works from the ignition "Run" position, but doesn't need the motor running. - BUT - for me it shut off about every 20 min.
Not sure if 1. there's a timeout on the inverter when engine's off, 2. there's a timeout on the ignition "Run", or 3. the inverter overheated (shouldn't have since I was pulling ~280W?). Did not try leaving the motor running

The ignition times out after 30 minutes.

I’ve used the inverter with the engine off quite a few times and just put the dash on voltage to monitor the batteries since they aren’t deep cycle
